Abstract
Fuel cell (11) comprises numerous stacked individual cells composed of anode and cathode contact plates (1a,1b) and a membrane (8). The contact plates have mirror symmetry, a closure slat (2), and gas inlet and outlet bores (3a,3b). There are 2 n> bores, where n=2 to 6, and they are arranged symmetrically. The membrane slat (5) is located on the contact plate surfaces, and the anode and cathode contact plates are precisely positioned opposite each other. Each individual cell has a membrane between the anode membrane slats and the cathode contact plates.
