Abstract
Spotlight for external use is fitted in integral housing (1) of glass, e.g. organic glass, whose inner wall contains peripheral rabbet (2), serving as spacer and support for LED mounting board (3) and ensures that LEDs (6) stand spaced and provide defined light quality. Housing is typically closed from rear by casting suitable resin (7) to seal it and make it tight. Optical valuation of spotlight may be provided by peripheral ring (4) of stainless metal or plastics, also providing higher stability and improved edge protection.
