Abstract

Operation of a solar heat gathering panel, involves distributing the liquids within a flat panel collector in which they percolate through a layer of solar-heated fleece, heating and evaporating the liquid. vapor condenses under the transparent cover, and is captured in a collector gully. The collector is a heat-insulated cassette made preferably of non-corroding sheet metal, and is filled with an insulating material or gas. The incoming raw product is introduced from a distributor gully onto the fleece via wick resting on the cassette and terminating in the sump gully.

Claims (7)
