Process for the production of pulpy mass from cement and water object
the invention is a process for the production of pasty masses made of cement,
Fibers and water or made from cement, sand and water and used for manufacturing
of hollow bodies, such as pipes, slats, rods, beams or the like. Can be used. as
Asbestos fibers, mineral wool, slag wool and glass wool come individually
or together. Long-fiber asbestos has been tried many times
in whole or in part by other inorganic or organic fiber materials,
such as slag wool, glass wool, rock wool, cellulose or the like. To replace. the
Fiber cement bodies produced in this way, however, only had inadequate strength values,
because the fibers mentioned do not bond with the cement. They stay
as a foreign body in the finished product.
According to the invention, these shortcomings are avoided by first
a suspension of short-fiber chrysotile asbestos with a fiber length of no more than
0.001 mm in water in a ratio of at least 1:10, expediently 1:20 to 1:30
is produced that in the case of the addition of long-fiber fibers this with
the suspension are intimately mixed and that then this mixture with the dry
Cement or the suspension mixed with a dry mixture of cement and sand
the proportion of the short-fiber asbestos contained in the suspension
either 2 to 6 percent by weight of the dry mix of cement and long fiber
Pulps or 1.5 to 5 percent by weight of the dry mix of cement and
Sand amounts.
In addition to avoiding the stated disadvantages, this process has disadvantages
nor the advantage of saving a considerable amount of asbestos with mixtures that are in
known to contain cement and long or medium-fiber asbestos. aside from that
the end product has a higher density due to the addition of the suspension.
While asbestos-cement pipes are made from a mixture in a known manner,
the z. B. consists of 84 kg of cement and 16 kg of long to medium-fiber asbestos, can
according to the invention z. B. half of the long to medium fiber asbestos through the
Suspension to be replaced. For the preparation of a mixture according to the invention
z. B. 90 kg of cement mixed with 8 kg of long or medium fiber asbestos. The suspension
of asbestos is then mixed with the long-fiber fibers.
In the case of mixtures in which the long to medium-fiber asbestos is to be wholly or partially replaced by other inorganic or organic fibers such as glass wool, slag wool, rock wool, cellulose or the like, the suspension brings about an intimate bond between the aforementioned fibers and the cement . Without the use of the suspension, this bin-jung would not occur. The suspension must be mixed well with the fibrous material before the mixture thus obtained is mixed with the cement. As a result of the use of the suspension according to the invention, the products have a high density and strength values which are close to or equal to the strengths of pure asbestos-cement products. The addition is also carried out in such amounts that the proportion of asbestos contained in the suspension is 2 to 6 percent by weight of the dry mixture of cement and fibrous materials. An example is intended to explain the invention: 8 kg of slag wool are intimately mixed with 55 l of suspension containing 2 kg of finely ground chrysotile asbestos. This mixture is then mixed with 90 kg of cement.
In the case of mixtures of cement with sand and water, the addition has one
Suspension of chrysotile asbestos in water also has a surprising effect.
If you add the suspension to the still dry mixture of cement and aggregates,
like sand or the like, added, this addition causes the rapid induction of a
Dimensional rigidity of the concrete product and an increase in its strength values.
The rapid dimensional stability achieved by the addition of the suspension is made possible
it, the concrete product immediately after its completion from the production mold
take out and transport away.
To get the desired effect
to achieve, it is sufficient to add suspension in such an amount that the proportion
of the finely ground chrysotile asbestos contained in the suspension 1.5 to 5
Percent by weight of the dry mix of cement and aggregates. The following
Example explains the invention: 48.5 kg of cement and 48.5 kg of sand are 70
1 suspension containing 1.5 kg of finely ground chrysotile asbestos mixed.
Zur Herstellung der Suspension werden einem Ge-
wichtsteil Chrysotil-Asbest
For the preparation of the suspension are a part by weight of chrysotile asbestos at least 10, suitably added 20 to 30 parts by weight of water. This mixture is then ground in ball mills, dollers or the like until the desired comminution of the asbestos and thus the state of a suspension has been brought about. This condition can be recognized by the fact that the water-asbestos mixture takes the form of a slimy mass.
Instead of grinding the water-asbestos mixture, machining can also be carried out
with rapidly rotating impact organs, such as those in the so-called
Blenders are provided; Here too, the impact of the striking tools takes place
until an aqueous suspension is produced.
