Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
KLASSE 77: Sport.CLASS 77: Sports.
The present circus decoration is distinguished by the fact that it is quick and easy to use conveniently set up and changed respectively. can be carried away and that to the Accomodate a larger number of decorations only a relatively small and Always available space is necessary.
Such a decoration is shown in the accompanying drawing, for example brought to view, namely the figure shows a vertical section through one Circus.
A circular bridge a, corresponding to the ring , is attached to the circus dome, the lower surface of which serves to accommodate the decorations b. They each consist of a tire c corresponding to the inner diameter of the ring, which is filled with a strong platform and the upper surface of which is painted to represent the ground. The hoops c hang in groups one above the other under the bridge a on cords d, by means of which they can be lowered and pulled up from an adjoining room, their weight being balanced by appropriate counterweights. On the upper surface of the platform are individual decorative items, such as trees, attached houses, etc., and indeed such, that they be folded as soon as another decoration is lowered, and demgemäfs the cords e loosely be on which hang the decorative items, and what are attached to the next platform above. The undersides of the platform are painted with corresponding sky, cloud or similar representations. Since the cords d of each individual platform run over a pulley f and then form a common pull rope g , any decoration can be lowered, which is then placed on the previous one on the floor of the ring. The individual decorations are so high that the actors are not disturbed by the cords, and the platforms are strong enough to carry a number of horses and riders.
