Das nachstehend beschriebene Dreiwegeventil dient dazu, aus beliebiger Entfernung einen abgeschlossenen Raum abwechselnd je nach Bedarf unter zwei Gas- oder Luftdrucke verschiedener Höhe zu stellen. Es besteht aus einem dreikammerigen Ventilgehäuse, in dessen mittlerer, mit dem fraglichen abgeschlossenen Raum in Verbindung stehender Kammer ein Kugelventil α freischwebend aufgehängt ist. Jede der beiden äufseren Kammern steht mit einem der beiden in Frage kommenden Drucke in Verbindung. Das Kugelventil α trägt in seiner waagrechten Achse symmetrisch und gut ausgeglichen den Doppelanker b bl für die beiderseits angeordneten, theilweise in die beiden seitlichen.Kammern versenkten Elektromagnete Cc1. Der Doppelanker geht durch die Verbindungskanäle der drei Kammern frei hindurch, so dafs für den Druckausgleich zwischen der mittleren und den beiden seitlichen Kammern kleine ringförmige Kanäle frei bleiben. Innerhalb der linken Kammer ist noch eine kleine Nebenkammer d angebracht, die. mit der rechten Seitenkammer durch einen besonderen Kanal e, mit der linken durch eine Oeffnung von der Gröfse der Ventilsitzfläche verbunden ist. Durch diese Oeffnung geht ebenfalls der linke Ankertheil b einseitig hindurch, und zwar so dicht, als die freie leichte Beweglichkeit des Ventils α dies gestattet. Beide Elektromagnete werden mit einer Localbatterie derart verbunden, dafs immer nur einer derselben erregt ist, wobei das Ventil die eine oder die andere Kammer abgeschlossen und der betreffende Raum je nach Bedarf unter einen oder den anderen der fraglichen Drucke gesetzt wird.The three-way valve described below is used to place an enclosed space alternately under two gas or air pressures of different heights from any distance.
