Bisher besafsen die Drahtseile den grofsen Uebelstand, dais die nach dem Einspleifsen herausstehenden Drahtenden schlecht untergebracht werden konnten und infolge dessen den Personen, welche mit derartigen Seilen ■ arbeiten mufsten, häufig die Hände verletzten. Man hat zu diesem Zwecke vielfach eine Umwickelung dieser Drahtenden mit Draht oder dergleichen versucht, welche sich jedoch nicht gut bewährt hat, da dieselbe sehr mühsam und zeitraubend herzustellen war.Hitherto the wire ropes have had the greatest disadvantage that those after being looped in protruding wire ends could not be accommodated and as a result the hands of people who had to work with such ropes were often injured.
