Abstract

Consignments from various distributors are given identification- and direction codes. In accordance with the coding they are transmitted to a common- or different outgoing packet center(s). From there they are sent to a common packet reception center where they are sorted in accordance with their codings. Von hier aus erfolgt ein erneut getrennter Trans port zu der Zustellbasis (ZB) und schließlich zu dem Paketempfänger. Im Vergleich der Fig. 2 und Fig. 4 wird deutlich, daß erfin dungsgemäß in erheblichem Umfang Transportkosten eingespart werden können. Da fast 70% der Kosten einer Paketauslieferung auf der Strecke vom Eingangsfrachtzentrum bis zum Paketempfänger, d. h. dem Besteller der Ware anfallen, folgt daraus, daß sich die Zustell- bzw.
