Rotary block lock for rifles.

The subject of the present invention is a rotary block lock according to the Martini system in which, on the one hand, the Lock parts are arranged on a plate easily removable from the housing, whereby Cleaning and repair are facilitated, and which on the other hand with an under effect of the firing pin standing indicator is equipped that up instead of protrudes on the side of the lock and shows whether the lock is cocked.

The characteristic component is first of all the removable plate Z (Fig. 5) from the lock housing, which carries the lock parts. Deviating from the usual lock device, the pins for the ejector, the trigger rod, the clamping lever and the locking block are arranged in a fixed manner on the said plate Z, which covers the lock on one side. The full pivot pin about which the locking block B of the shape shown in FIG. 9 can be rotated is denoted by Y; the hollow pin X is the pivot for the trigger bar T and the tensioning lever, and by the likewise hollow spigot X ^1, the ejector rotates Q. The indicator lever D is articulated on the side of the locking block B at a recess H thereof, the pin (FIGS. 2, 3 and 4) screwed into the hole M ^{1 (FIG. 9) serving as the pivot.} A component of the indicator lever D is the laterally inwardly projecting pin C, which moves in a slot A of the locking block B (FIG. 9) and which also engages in a recess E on the upper side of the firing pin F. The latter recess is located in the vicinity of the trigger bar receiving opening G of the firing pin F. From the position of FIG. 2 in the display position according to FIG. 4, the indicator lever D is brought by the striker F DAF during tightening of the lock with the shoulder E ^{1 of} the recess E acts against the pin C. When the rifle is fired, however, the shoulder E ^{2 of} the recess E brings the indicator lever into the position in which it is covered by the lock housing. The guide / for the firing pin F is cut out at K (Fig. 8) to allow the indicator lever D to move freely.

As previously explained, all the locking parts are mounted on the plate Z (Fig. 5), the laterally projecting pin Y of which forms the pivot for the locking block and the hollow, also laterally projecting pins X and X ¹ partly the pivot for the trigger bar and the Clamping lever resp. form the ejector, partly bring about the connection of the plate Z with the trigger plate. In addition, the last-mentioned two hollow pins, one of which (X) can be seen in longitudinal section in FIG. 4a, represent the auxiliary means for fastening the plate Z within the housing S ; namely after the lock with the plate Z is inserted between the cheeks of the housing 5 (Fig. 4a), fastening bolts WW ¹ (Fig. 4) are inserted from the outside through the housing openings and the pin bores and screwed to the one housing cheek.
