Abstract
Description
Canvas as a base for acrylic paints will last in the long term more than the oil paint application. Because on an elastic, soft time basis an elastic, soft cover holds better.
The paint application expands when it contracts or spreads apart the canvas with.
The problem now is that the acrylic paints for a long time, Attract dust and dirt. The canvas would have to be cleaned more often become, which in turn would not be good for the ink carrier.
So my invention is: With acrylic paints (e.g. with Plextol D 498 as a binder) or other colors on plastic film (especially PVC) to draw. For better additional preservation and for the outside hanging the pictures outdoors, which would also be possible additionally pull the film onto canvas.
My first pictures of the kind were made in 1982/83 and are still today in exceptionally good condition. They hung over several Years outdoors. Art pictures in conventional technology would have that barely endured.
The director of the art museum in Maastrich / Netherlands, Mr. Bougaarts, bought three of my plastic pictures in 1984, which is proof of mine early use and experience in this technique may be understood. An approximately 2 mm thick plastic film is best suited PVC film or thicker.
1 Holzrahmen (Leisten im Querschnitt) 2 Leinwand 3mit aufgeklebter Plastikfolie (z. B. PVC) 1 wooden frame (strips in cross-section) 2 canvas 3 with glued-on plastic film (e.g. PVC)
The paint application can only be done Acrylic lates exist, or it can alternate be applied between acrylic and oil paint (Sandwich process).
Claims (1)
Painting surface for the artistic application of paint in the field of art painting.
My invention is: a painting surface made of plastic foil instead of the previously known painting surfaces such as canvas, wood etc.
Since acrylic paint attracts dirt, the painting surface would have to be cleaned again and again in the longer term. This is only possible with a loss of quality in the usual known reasons. Plastic film, on the other hand, can also be cleaned easily and with more aggressive cleaning agents. With a canvas back reinforcement, it also offers the option of hanging pictures outdoors. Poor air and environmental toxins do not destroy the image carrier to the extent that they are e.g. B. stone, canvas or other art. Attack materials. Original works of art often have to be replaced outdoors with copies that can be exchanged from time to time. Plastic containers, on the other hand, in which caustic acids or the like are kept, are relatively resistant to such pollutants.
To apply paint on plastic wrap:
Empirical investigations, which I carried out on the application of paint on plastic film, have shown that they have a good shelf life even after twenty years.
The color application can have different characters.
Advantageous and for art painting z. Acrylic dispersion has generally been found to be common.
For details see drawing or description.
A PVC film is particularly suitable as a plastic film.
Additional information about the application of paint (not only for plastic films).
The paint application can consist exclusively of acrylic lates, or can be applied alternating between acrylic and oil paint (sandwich process).
