Abstract
Verfahren zum Beurteilen des Stadiums von Krebs bei einem Patienten, wobei das Verfahren umfasst:
Verabreichen eines Bildgebungsmittels für Makrophagen an den Patienten;
Erstellen einer Magnetresonanzaufnahme von Bereichen des Patientenkörpers, in welchen die Gefahr von Krebs besteht; und
Verwenden der Aufnahme, um die Makrophagendichte und -verschiebung, die mit jeder Art von primärem oder metastatischem Krebs bei dem Patienten assoziiert sind, zu beurteilen, wobei die Dichte und die Verschiebung eine Neoplasie anzeigen.
Verabreichen eines Bildgebungsmittels für Makrophagen an den Patienten;
Erstellen einer Magnetresonanzaufnahme von Bereichen des Patientenkörpers, in welchen die Gefahr von Krebs besteht; und
Verwenden der Aufnahme, um die Makrophagendichte und -verschiebung, die mit jeder Art von primärem oder metastatischem Krebs bei dem Patienten assoziiert sind, zu beurteilen, wobei die Dichte und die Verschiebung eine Neoplasie anzeigen.
Claims (22)
- Verfahren zum Beurteilen des Stadiums von Krebs bei einem Patienten, wobei das Verfahren umfasst: Verabreichen eines Bildgebungsmittels für Makrophagen an den Patienten; Erstellen einer Magnetresonanzaufnahme von Bereichen des Patientenkörpers, in welchen die Gefahr von Krebs besteht; und Verwenden der Aufnahme, um die Makrophagendichte und -verschiebung, die mit jeder Art von primärem oder metastatischem Krebs bei dem Patienten assoziiert sind, zu beurteilen, wobei die Dichte und die Verschiebung eine Neoplasie anzeigen.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, wobei das Verwenden der Aufnahme das Beobachten der mit einem primären Tumor oder mit irgendeinem metastatischen Tumor in den Knochen, den Lymphknoten, der Milz, der Leber, dem Zentralnervensystem, der Lunge oder einem anderen Organ assoziierten Makrophagenaktivität beinhaltet.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, wobei die Bereiche zusammen genommen den gesamten Körper ausmachen.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, wobei das Bildgebungsmittel für Makrophagen ein ultrakleiner superparamagnetischer Eisenoxidpartikel ist.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 4, wobei das Bildgebungsmittel für Makrophagen eine Halbwertszeit im Blut besitzt, die ausreicht, um ein Einfangen durch die Makrophagen in den Bereichen zuzulassen, in welchen die Gefahr von Krebs besteht.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 5, wobei das Bildgebungsmittel für Makrophagen ein Komplex aus ultrakleinem superparamagnetischem Eisenoxid und einem Polysaccharid ist.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 6, wobei das Polysaccharid ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe, bestehend aus Dextran, reduziertem Dextran und einem Derivat davon.
- Verfahren zum Beurteilen der Wirksamkeit einer Anti-Krebsbehandlung bei einem Patienten, wobei das Verfahren umfasst: Verabreichen eines Bildgebungsmittels für Makrophagen an den Patienten vor der Anti-Krebsbehandlung; Erstellen einer Magnetresonanzaufnahme von den Bereichen des Patientenkörpers, die Ziel der Anti-Krebsbehandlung sein sollen, um eine Aufnahme vor der Behandlung zu erzeugen; Verabreichen der Anti-Krebsbehandlung an den Patienten; Verabreichen des Bildgebungsmittels für Makrophagen an den Patienten nach der Anti-Krebsbehandlung; Erstellen einer Magnetresonanzaufnahme von den Bereichen des Patientenkörpers, die Ziel der Anti-Krebsbehandlung waren, um eine Aufnahme nach der Behandlung zu erzeugen; und Beurteilen jeglicher Veränderungen hinsichtlich der mit einem primären Krebs oder einem metastatischen Krebs bei dem Patienten assoziierten Makrophagendichte und -verschiebung zwischen der Aufnahme nach der Behandlung und der Aufnahme vor der Behandlung, wobei die Beurteilung solcher Veränderungen in der Makrophagendichte und -verschiebung die Wirksamkeit der Antikrebs-Behandlung anzeigt.
- Verfahren zum Beurteilen der Wirksamkeit einer Anti-Krebsbehandlung nach Anspruch 8, wobei die Anti-Krebsbehandlung eine Behandlung einschließt, die ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe, bestehend aus Chemotherapie, Exstirpation, Ablation in situ, Radiotherapie, Immuntherapie, Gentherapie und einer alternativen Therapie.
- Verfahren zum Beurteilen der Wirksamkeit einer Anti-Krebsbehandlung nach Anspruch 9, wobei die Anti-Krebsbehandlung eine Chemotherapie ist.
- Verfahren zum Beurteilen der Wirksamkeit einer Anti-Krebsbehandlung nach Anspruch 9, wobei die Anti-Krebsbehandlung eine Bestrahlungstherapie ist.
- Verfahren zum Beurteilen der Wirksamkeit einer Anti-Krebsbehandlung nach Anspruch 8, wobei die Anti-Krebsbehandlung eine Kombinationstherapie ist.
- Verfahren zum Beurteilen der Wirksamkeit einer Anti-Krebsbehandlung nach Anspruch 8, wobei die mit einem primären Krebs oder metastatischen Krebs assoziierte Makrophagendichte und -verschiebung in der Aufnahme nach der Behandlung im Vergleich zu der Aufnahme vor der Behandlung reduziert sind.
- Verfahren zum Beurteilen der Wirksamkeit einer Anti-Krebsbehandlung nach Anspruch 8, wobei die mit einem primären Krebs oder metastatischen Krebs assoziierte Makrophagendichte und -verschiebung in der Aufnahme nach der Behandlung im Vergleich zu der Aufnahme vor der Behandlung erhöht sind.
- Verfahren zum Beurteilen der Wirksamkeit einer Anti-Krebsbehandlung nach Anspruch 8, wobei die mit einem primären Krebs oder metastatischen Krebs assoziierte Makrophagendichte und -verschiebung einen Rückgang oder keinen Fortschritt in der Aufnahme nach der Behandlung im Vergleich zu der Aufnahme vor der Behandlung zeigen.
- Verfahren zum Bestimmen der Häufigkeit der Wiederholung einer MEMRI-Evaluierung bei einem Patienten, wobei das Verfahren umfasst: Durchführen einer ersten Ganzkörper-MEMRI-Evaluierung des Patienten zu einem ersten Zeitpunkt, um eine erste Höhe der Makrophagendichte an einer Tumorlokalisation von Interesse zu bestimmen; Durchführen einer zweiten Ganzkörper-MEMRI-Evaluierung des Patienten zu einem zweiten Zeitpunkt, um eine zweite Höhe der Makrophagendichte an einer Tumorlokalisation von Interesse zu bestimmen; und Bestimmen eines dritten Zeitpunkts für die Durchführung einer dritten Ganzkörper-MEMRI-Evaluierung des Patienten, so dass die Häufigkeit der Wiederholung der MEMRI-Evaluierung bei dem Patienten an einer Tumorlokalisation von Interesse bestimmt wird.
- Verfahren zum Bestimmen des metastatischen Potentials von Krebsherden bei einem Patienten, wobei das Verfahren umfasst: Verwenden einer Ganzkörper-MEMRI-Evaluierung, um die Makrophagendichte an einer Tumorlokalisation von Interesse zu identifizieren, wobei die Makrophagendichte an der Tumorlokalisation von Interesse ein Indikator für das metastatische Potential der Krebsherde ist; und Beurteilen der Makrophagendichte an der Tumorlokalisation von Interesse, so dass das metastatische Potential für die Krebsherde in dem Patienten basierend auf der Makrophagendichte bestimmt wird.
- Verfahren zum Bestimmen der Krebsprognose bei einem Patienten, wobei das Verfahren umfasst: Durchführen einer Ganzkörper-MEMRI-Evaluierung des Patienten, um die Makrophagendichte an einer Tumorlokalisation von Interesse zu identifizieren; Beurteilen der Makrophagendichte, um primäre und/oder metastatische Tumore in dem Patienten zu identifizieren; und Bestimmen der Krebsprognose bei dem Patienten basierend auf der Makrophagendichte der primären und/oder metastatischen Tumore, wobei die Makrophagendichte ein Indikator für die Prognose von Krebs ist, wobei eine geringe Makrophagendichte im Verhältnis zu normalen Zellen ein Indikator für eine günstigere Prognose ist und eine hohe Makrophagendichte im Verhältnis zu normalen Zellen ein Indikator für eine weniger günstige Prognose ist.
- Befundkarte für die wiederholte Beurteilung von Krebs, wobei die Befundkarte aufweist: einen ausfüllbaren Bereich für Angaben über den Patienten; einen ausfüllbaren Bereich für Datumsangaben; einen ausfüllbaren Bereich für Angaben über die MEMRI zu Beginn; einen ausfüllbaren Bereich für Angaben zur nächsten festgesetzten MEMRI-Evaluierung; optional einen ausfüllbaren Bereich für die Diagnose zu Beginn; optional einen ausfüllbaren Bereich für Angaben über das Stadium zu Beginn; optional einen ausfüllbaren Bereich für Angaben über die Wiederholung der MEMRI-Evaluierung; und optional einen ausfüllbaren Bereich für das TNM-Stadium.
- Verfahren zum Bestimmen der Lokalisation einer Biopsie bei einem Patienten, wobei das Verfahren umfasst: Durchführen einer Ganzkörper-MEMRI-Evaluierung des Patienten, um die Makrophagendichte an einer Tumorlokalisation von Interesse zu identifizieren; und Beurteilen der Makrophagendichte, um die Lokalisation der Biopsie bei dem Patienten zu identifizieren, wobei die Makrophagendichte ein Indikator für Tumorwachstum ist.
- Verfahren zum Bereitstellen einer individualisierten Krebsbehandlung für einen Patienten mit dem Bedarf danach unter Verwenden einer Ganzkörper-MEMRI-Evaluierung, wobei das Verfahren umfasst: Durchführen einer Ganzkörper-MEMRI-Evaluierung des Patienten, um die Makrophagendichte an einer primären und/oder an einer Tumorlokalisation von Interesse zu identifizieren; Beurteilen der Makrophagendichte, um die Eigenschaften (Typ, Position, Phänotyp und Morphologie) der primären und/oder metastatischen Tumore in dem Patienten zu identifizieren; Beurteilen der Eigenschaften der primären und/oder metastatischen Tumore in dem Patienten, um die optimale Behandlung zu bestimmen; und Bereitstellen einer individualisierten Krebsbehandlung für den Patienten basierend auf der Beurteilung der primären und/oder metastatischen Tumore in dem Patienten, wie sie unter Verwenden der Ganzkörper-MEMRI-Evaluierung bestimmt wurde.
- Biomarker für Makrophagen, der einem Patienten zwischen 12 und 168 Stunden vor der Ganzkörper-MEMRI-Evaluierung verabreicht werden kann.
