Description
The invention relates to a process for the preparation of highly basic phenolate-containing calcium sulfonates, especially as additives with detergent dispersant action in high-performance lubricants and functional fluids, in particular in engine oils and as a promoter in the preparation of other lubricant additives Find use.
It is known to produce ash-containing calcium sulphonates with a basic reserve in such a way that excess calcium compounds are produced by direct post-treatment of neutral sulphonates with calcium hydroxide and / or calcium oxide and reaction with an acidic gas in the presence of promoters in oil-soluble form. The promoters used are essentially alcohols, glycols, phenols, carboxylic acids, alkanolamines, succinimides and aldehydes. Combinations of such promoters are also known.
According to DD-PS 117247, for example, a combination of methanol, alkylphenol, monoalkanolamine and a succinimide is used as a promoter.
According to DD-PS 125 278 are used as promotions for additives of the phenolate type organic amines such as alkanolamines and fatty acid amides and / or methanol.
According to DD-PS 219188 a promoter combination of alkylphenol sulfide, methanol and alkanolamine is used.
According to DD Pat. No. 219,187, the promoter used is a combination of alkylphenol sulfide, methanol, alkanolamine and / or the salt of an amino acid and / or fatty acid amide as promoter.
According to DD-PS 220305 is a promoter combination of alkylphenol sulfide, aliphatic aldehyde and / or methanol and / or a basic nitrogen-containing compound such as ammonia use.
Carbon dioxide is usually used as a clean gas in such production processes, the promoters are partially removed, the water is distilled off and the mechanical impurities are often centrifuged off or filtered in dilution with diluent solvent.
