Description
The invention relates to a release agent for preventing the adhesion of polyurethanes and polyurethane reactive systems on painted or polyethylene coated painted surfaces, which is applicable to all production processes in which polyurethanes, especially rigid polyurethane foams, must be removed from painted surfaces, such as in the manufacture of furniture, Furniture parts and Isolierköipern for refrigeration furniture is required.
The excellent adhesion of polyurethanes to other materials requires the use of release agents for demolding of polyurethane articles in the production process. Even with an undesirable adhesion of polyurethane reaction mixtures on painted surfaces, the use of release agents is unavoidable. Polyurethane rigid foam systems adhere particularly firmly when they come into direct contact with alkyd, acrylate or epoxy lacquer coatings in the status nascendi.
A known release agent for preventing adhesion of polyurethanes is polyethylene, which is used successfully in the form of films or, as described in DD-PS 140220, in the form of plates for demolding of polyurethane moldings. Although according to DD-PS 140220 polyethylene plates for demolding of polyurethane moldings are well suited, was in polyethyienfolio coated acrylate or Alkydlackoberflächen after contact with polyurethane foam systems no release effect, but achieved the opposite. After curing of the polyurethane foam, the polyethylene protective film shows by the foaming pressure, associated with elevated temperature, an extremely strong adhesion to the paint surface and can be removed only with great expenditure of time and damage to the paint surface. Even when using the known commercial dissolved in organic solvents polyurethane mold release agents based on waxes, such as carbowax, montan wax, microwaxes, paraffins, silicones and their combinations, it is not possible to remove rigid polyurethane foam systems of painted surfaces quickly and without damage or polyethylene protective films of effortlessly peel off these surfaces. In addition to the insufficient separation effect is also a disadvantage that these release agents or release agent combinations predominantly such strong umweltbolastenden, hazardous to health and combustible solvents such as aliphatic hydrocarbons and / or halogenated hydrocarbons, for example methylene chloride, trichloroethane or perchlorethylene. Therefore, the development of aqueous release agents has been used for several years. Thus, DE-PS 1131873 describes a consisting of water, monohydric and polyhydric alcohols, saccharides ammonia and amines release agent for the production of Polyurelhangegenständen with open-pored surface. To prevent the adhesion of polyurethanes to paint surfaces, however, these release agent systems proved to be unsuitable, in particular because of their poor wetting and islanding on the paint layers and on polyolefins. For the same reason and because of extremely long dry time, the 20% aqueous solutions of polyvinyl alcohol or partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohols described in GB-PS 1216205 and the solutions of polyvinyl alcohol in water-ethanol mixtures mentioned in the European patent application 0275949 are unsuitable.
Trennmittelkombinationen wie: Mischungen aus Gelatine, Carboxymethylcellulose und Polyvinylalkohol oder Mischungen aus Polyvinylalkohol und Polyethylenglykol gemäß US-PS 3823023, lösungsmittelfreie wäßrige Trennmittel nach DE-OS 35415113 A1 in KombinationThe prior art further includes such aqueous release agents or release agent combinations such as: mixtures of gelatin, carboxymethylcellulose and polyvinyl alcohol or mixtures of polyvinyl alcohol and polyethylene glycol according to US-PS 3823023, solvent-free aqueous release agent according to DE-OS 35415113 A1 in combination
