Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft die Herstellung eines Vliesstoffes insbesondere aus nativen Reiszfasern, die einen hohen Kurzfaseranteil aufweisen. Erfindungsgemaesz wird aus dem Fasermaterial mit hohem Kurzfaseranteil, insbesondere aus nativen Reiszfasern, ein Vlies gebildet und das Vlies anschlieszend in nur einer Bearbeitungsstufe hydrodynamisch verfestigt. Die Kurzfasern, auf die die Wasserstrahlen treffen, aendern ihre Lage im Vlies derart, dasz sie senkrecht bzw. annaehernd senkrecht zur Vliesebene stehen. Mit dem erfindungsgomößen Verfahren ist es möglich, Material mit hohem Kurzfaseranteil direkt zu einem textlien Flächengebilde zu verarbeiten, ohno daß Bindemittel oder ein relativ großer Anteil langer Fasern zjr Erzielung des Zusammenhaltes zwischen den Fasern hinzugefügt werden müssen. Dies wurde überraschend dadurch erreicht, daß das Kurzfaser.lies bei der bekannton hydrodynamischen Vorfestigung nur eine einzige Bearbeitungsstufe durchläuft. Bei der Verarbeitung längerer Fasern wird das Vlies der Einwirkung der Wasserstrahlen mehrmals hintereinander ausgesetzt, um eine beidseitig« bestmögliche Faserverwirbelung und damit Vsrfestigung zu erreichen. Im Falle des Einsatzes einos hohen Anteils kurzer Fasern war davon auszugehen, daß eine Faserverwirbelung gar nicht entstehen könnte was durch die mit hohem Druck einwirkenden Wasserstrahlen zu einem Zerfall des Vlieses führen müßte. Dieser Effekt tritt überraschend nicht ein, da die Kurzfasorn, auf die die Wasserstrahlen treffen, ihre Lage im Vlies derart ändern, daß sie senkrecht bzw. annähernd senkrecht zur Vliesebene stein. Dadurch entsteht eine dreidimensionale Vei netzung, die dem Vliesstoff seine Festigkeit gibt. Der entstandene Vliesstoff weist darüber hinaus auch gute textile Eigenschaften auf.
