Description
The invention relates to a production process for a thermally curable modeling material of high plasticity based on polyvinyl chloride with additions of plasticizers, extenders and other substances for versatile applications. The molded plastic objects can be cured by short-term thermal treatment between 100 and 150 0 C.
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) based pastes made by blending PVC with plasticizers and other additives such as extenders, fillers, pigments and / or lubricants, which under thermal conditions have been cured under certain conditions, are already known. There are also those polyvinyl chloride preparations known from which by deformation, for. B. by hand, by an extruder or other ways, figures and other items can be made, which can be cured by heating and thus permanently preserved. It is also known that such pvc bonds used as modeling clay lose their piastics relatively quickly by becoming hard and / or friable, thereby losing their kneadability in whole or in part, and thereby being rendered unusable or greatly impaired in their usefulness.
To avoid these disadvantages, it has been proposed to use PVC powder whose kneadability after processing with plasticizers and / or other suitable additives remains approximately the same over a larger shear stress range (DE-OS 2515757). This can be achieved by blending two PVC powders of opposite flow behavior when the mixture is made to give a pseudo-Newtonian flow behavior. A disadvantage of this method is that the quantitative mutual reversal of the opposite tendencies in the flow behavior of the PVC components not only on the ratio of the mixed together PVC grades, z. As emulsion and suspension polyvinyl chloride, depends, but also by the vote with other material properties. This results in a considerable susceptibility to interference of this method. Moreover, a decrease in kneadability over time can not be avoided. This disadvantage is not completely eliminated by a method for producing a PVC-based storage-resistant molding composition (DD-WP 155786), which then uses a PVC powder modified by pretreatment with a strongly adsorbable secondary plasticizer having a broad asymmetric grain size distribution and known ones Plasticizers and other additives is processed. In addition, this latter mass is peculiar to a low initial plasticity, which is unfavorable for a number of uses.
The aim of the invention is a production method for a thermosetting modeling compound of high plasticity stability and extreme storage stability for versatile applications.
The object of the invention is to find a manufacturing method for a thermally curable modeling material of high plastic PVC based on PVC which, by virtue of a favorable plastic-cell behavior, causes the elimination of the technical contradiction of other known model materials.
Titandioxid, Eisenoxid schwarz, PV rot G01, Plastolgrün, CD-Pigment zitronengelb. This object is achieved in that a homogeneous mixture of a plasticizer and 1 to 6Ma .-% PVC at a temperature of 70 to 100 0 C In a submitted base material of PVC powder containing with extenders, other plasticizer, fillers, lubricants and or pigments can be blended or subsequently blended, so incorporated that the temperature of the resulting preparation during the manufacturing process does not exceed 40 ° C., since otherwise, as is already known, a pronounced increase in viscosity and a deterioration of the aging properties is expected , It is particularly favorable, for the preparation of the homogenous Welchmacher PVC-Mlschung a suspension containing 10t) to 600g of a PVC powder In 10kg of plasticizer, slowly to the clearing to 100 to 120'C to warm and this slblowy liquid optionally after cooling to 70 to 100 0 C in a thin stream to the submitted base material stir or knot. It is advantageous to use as base material PVC emulsion polymer, which optionally extender, preferably chlorinated paraffins, and / or other plasticizers, for example Alkylsulfonsliureester can be added. It is also advantageous to add to the base material up to 30% by weight of fillers in the form of stone powders, such as chalk and / or finely-milled anhydrite. Suitable as lubricants are calcium stearate preparations and as pigments such sanitizing dyes as titanium dioxide, iron oxide black, PV red G01, plastol green, CD pigment lemon yellow.
Surprisingly, it has been found that the plasticity of a PVC paste can be substantially improved if a homogeneous Welchmacher-PVC moulding, which may contain at most 5 Ma.% PVC, is incorporated into the submitted base material at moderate heat.
It is necessary that during the processing process the temperature of the mixture at no point 45 * C übersqhreitet, otherwise changed in accordance with known experience, the quality of the product in non-reproducible catfish. But it is also important that the temperature of the submitted base material reaches 3O 0 C quickly, otherwise the favorable properties for the plasticity of the paste properties are not achieved. The composition according to the invention is very supple, easy to process and maintains its plastic properties longer and better than modeling materials produced as in the prior art, as demonstrated in one embodiment by the use of a plasticity index.
The special properties of the composition according to the invention can be varied to a great extent by delustering extenders, fillers and pigments and can thus be adapted to a wide variety of applications.
