Abstract
The invention relates to a lead-acid battery with reinforced positive lead electrodes in tissue pockets. The invention is characterized in that between the electrodes and / or between the plate block and the housing at least one biased spring element is arranged whose forces are directed over the known Laengsrippen on the tissue at the transition points from segment to segment. The tissue stretches around the selected active mass of each segment. By using appropriate clamping frame during the manufacture and arrangement of the electrodes under elastic bias in Akkumulatorengehaeuse both the finished treatment of the electrodes and a permanent storage without Fruehausfaelle is possible by Abloesendes tissue and corresponding gas cushioning. The sewing process or another similar process step is saved. In addition, this technology allows the lead cores to be connected by transverse webs without any consequential problems, thus reducing early house failures due to premature localized corrosion.

The invention relates to a lead-acid battery with armored positive lead electrodes in tissue bags.
Bleiakkumulatoren der genannten Art sind bekannt.Lead accumulators of the type mentioned are known.
Commercially enforced has a method in which the active mass is introduced dust-like or granulated in tubes of tissue. Centrifugal in the tubes are lead ion, through which the current is dissipated. The tubular subdivision can be made of a fine-meshed synthetic fiber fabric or eirom perforated PC material in the i. a. a glass fiber reinforcement is embedded, exist. The tubes can be arranged next to one another and connected to one another only by a current conductor, or they can be connected to form a tissue pocket from the outset. By wrapping it is achieved that the Abschlammvorgang that occurs in lead-acid batteries especially in the positive electrodes during the charge / discharge process and leads to a loss of ampere hour capacity is prevented or at least severely limited. The positive electrodes are sulfated in a sulfuric acid bath and then inserted in alternating sequence with the negative electrodes in the accumulator housing. Between the tissue pockets and the negative electrodes are separators.
Attaching the tubes or tissue bags to the lead scaffold is done manually. The dry Uaubförmige mass is shaken. Finally, the electrodes are closed manually with a baseboard. The process is only slightly automated and also extremely harmful to health due to the lead dust. In addition, the active mass is vibrated differently tight in the pockets. Occasionally, the upper ends of the lead sols are even exposed, thereby accelerating the corrosion of the mass carriers.
As a result of these disadvantages, the use of half-shells made of microporous plastic as an envelope was adopted. Initially, the half-shells separated from one another with active mass are used and the cored lead cores are inserted in the manner of combs. The filled half-shells are placed one above the other and joined together by gluing. When introducing the active mass, the edges of the half-shells are relatively easily contaminated and unclean adhesive spots occur. In addition, a gas cushion formation can not be excluded when joining the half shells. Another solution is to make pasted smooth platton. In the Kon.'ektionierung be between the plates and the separators glass-fiber mats are inserted, which are held by longitudinal ribs of the Seporatoren against the plates. The advantage of this solution is that no mechanical or other connections are to be made through the active mask. Ont falls this costly process step. In addition, it is possible to connect the längsig stretched Bleiseelen by short transverse webs together and thus prevent premature failure by local corrosion phenomena. Unfortunately, the mats dissolve during the operating time of the lead accumulator from the plates, so that the mass fails prematurely. Here, too, the harmful gas cushions are formed, which interrupt the circuit.
It has already been proposed to paste the mass carrier with active mass and enveloped with a tissue bag to transform the filled tissue bag with a smooth and then with a profiled pair of rollers so that an electrode with parallel, längsstehton segments, each with a Bleiseele and approximately elliptical cross-section arises. Thereafter, the two halves of the fabric pockets are sewn together at the transitions from segment to segment through the small active mass remaining between them. Such prepared electrodes are very durable. The sewing process is easy to automate, but also expensive and harmful. In addition, the sewing process is difficult if transverse webs are provided between the lead cores.
Ziel der ErfindungObject of the invention
The aim of the invention is to simplify the production of high-quality lead-acid batteries.
The object of the invention is, starting from the latter method, the production of high-quality reinforced positive electrodes m ; t enables a high degree of automation to save on the sewing process and maintain the quality of the electrodes in the lead-acid battery over a longer period of time.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that between the electrodes and / or between the plate block and the housing at least one biased spring element is arranged, whose forces are directed via the known longitudinal ribs on the tissue on the transition points from segment to segment.
For this purpose, the longitudinal ribs are preferably formed spring-like and is inserted between the plate block and the housing a rubber plate.
The tissue stretches around the arched active mass of each segment. By using appropriate clamping frame during the manufacture and arrangement of the electrodes under elastic bias in the accumulator housing both the finished treatment of the electrodes and a permanent storage without early failures by peeling tissue and appropriate Gaspolstetbildung is possible. The sewing process or another similar process step are saved. In addition, this technology allows the lead cores to be interconnected without lateral problems by transverse webs, thereby reducing premature failures due to premature localized corrosion.

A mass carrier is pasted with moist active mass 1 and wrapped with a fabric bag 2 or introduced into this. The fabric bag filled in this way passes through a smooth pair of rolls and then a profiled pair of rolls. After leaving the second pair of rollers, the positive electrode 3 is divided into a plurality of parallel and longitudinal segments corresponding to the number of lead cores at a distance of about 1 to 2 cm. The segments have an e.'lipsenförmigon cross-section, in the middle of the lead cores is arranged. In each case η such filled and profiled tissue pockets or positive electrodes 3 are alternately superimposed with each η + 1 negative electrode 5 and each 2 η separators 6 interposed as usual. The separators have longitudinal ribs 7 with which they respectively press on the transitions between two segments of the tissue pockets or smooth separators are used towards the positive electrode and in each case a frame with longitudinal ribs made of plastic is placed between a separator and a tissue bag. One or more such prefabricated plate blocks are placed in a cell frame and held there under pressure. The pressurized assembly is ripened, molded and dried, similar to starter-accumulator technology. Each plate block is then injected under pressure into the accumulator housing 8 ', and held there under pressure. In one embodiment, the longitudinal ribs are spring-like, d. H. There are feathery lugs 9. In another embodiment, at least one rubber plate is inserted into the accumulator housing together with the electrodes and separators. Both versions can also be combined with each other. The housing is dimensioned so that the Platienblock is held un'er bias.
