Description
The invention relates to new effective means for promoting the wound closure reaction to damage to agricultural and horticultural crops odor crop and crops in forestry.
The increase in the degree of mechanization is characteristic of intensive agricultural, horticultural and forestry production. Especially through the use of combine harvesters z. As in potato, for harvesting cabbage and for the harvest of pome, stone and berry fruit, it comes to more or more serious damage to the crop or the crop. But damage is also caused by cutters in the orchard. The damage is always the entry port for various pathogens.
Yield losses on crops, the reduction of the ability of the crop to be harvested or a deterioration of the seed stock value are the consequences.
It is known that damaged crops and crop may have been protected by the use of fungicides, bactericides o r insecticides against pests. Their use does not promote the wound closure reaction, but ur means a ι adical intervention in the Schaderrenerpopulation. There are increasingly chemisctie substances in the environment with all known disadvantages, or there are problems regarding possible residues in the crop. Furthermore, especially for don use in orchards special Wundverschlußmitt'.jl such. As tree waxes, latex-containing agents, mineral oils, tar oils, tar or their distillates or conversion products known.
Their application methods are unsuitable for intensive fruit growing and uneconomical. All cited disadvantages of known methods against the Schaderregorbefall over damage to crops or crops justify the need to search for new solution methods.
The aim of the invention is to reduce yield losses of damaged crops and losses of stored crop. In particular, complicated, labor-consuming application methods and toxicological problems as well as other hazards for humans, animals and the environment are to be avoided.
W.Weuffon — Berlin; Verlag Volk und Gesundheit 1982).The invention is based on the object to develop new v.'irksamere means for promoting the wound closure reaction to damaged crops or crop, which effect when using simple organic compounds targeted promotion of wound closure reaction and are harmless in the application by a low toxicity. This object is achieved in that means for promoting the wound closure reaction on damaged crops or crop produced and used, which consist of thiocyanates, preferably dissociating thiocyanates such as sodium, potassium and / or ammonium salts and customary formulation auxiliaries. Thiocyanates are a physiological substrate which is harmless in the amounts to be used for humans, animals and plants (Medical and biological importance of thiocyanine, published by W. Weuffon - Berlin, Verlag Volk und Gesundheit 1982).
The agents according to the invention promote the wound closure reaction both on all parts of the crop plants and after treatment on the fruit.
