Anwendungsgebiet der ErfindungField of application of the invention
The reactor principle is applicable to non-thermal plasma material syntheses in which the reactions yield too low a yield or where the reactions are not sufficiently selective.
Charakteristik der bekannten technischen LösungenCharacteristic of the known technical solutions
Due to the special nature of the nonthermal reactant activation, an electric nonthermal discharge offers favorable conditions for the use for the conversion of substances or the synthesis of certain products both in terms of material and in terms of energy. Accordingly, there are a variety of fabric syntheses that could previously be realized using a non-thermal discharge. The main disadvantage of the technical use of textile syntheses under non-thermal activation conditions is the low product selectivity - depending on their complexity too many products with too low a yield of a starting substance, so that the technical use of non-thermal plasma for material conversion despite the favorable procedural scheme so far on few connections remained limited.
The hitherto known types of reactors for the conversion of materials in non-thermal plasma are characterized, in addition to the aspects of reactor geometry, flow technology and / or electrode arrangement, by the fact that the chemical activity of the interfaces is given no significance. (Author collective, plasma technique, Leipzig, 1983, H.Drost, plasma chemistry, Berlin, 1978; H.Suhr, Plasma Chemistry Plasma Processing 3,1983,1 to 61). There are no known methods, studies and / or ideas that use the properties of adsorbent layers to control product synthesis in nonthermal plasma.
Ziel der ErfindungObject of the invention
The object of the invention is to influence the reaction process in a non-thermal plasma so that the reactions for the formation of the target products proceed with a higher degree of conversion and / or a higher selectivity by increasing the concentration of at least one reactant on the plasma boundary surfaces.
Aufgabe der ErfindungObject of the invention
Plasmagrenzflächen in erhöhter Konzentration vorliegen. The object of the invention is to achieve by a specific reactor wall design that at the same time both the proportion of interfacial reactions is increased in mass conversions in non-thermal plasma and one or more reaction components present at the reactor walls or plasma boundary surfaces in increased concentration.
Merkmale der ErfindungFeatures of the invention
This is achieved according to the invention in that the side of the reactor walls facing the discharge is covered with an adsorbing layer (eg zeolite). Before and / or during the firing of the discharge, the starting materials are fed to the reactor. The selective adsorption of the zeolite enriches in this particular reaction partner (starting materials and / or intermediates). Due to the greatly increased plasma interfacial areas and the high loading density of certain species on the walls, the synthesis is preferably directed in the direction in which the wall occupancy species are involved.
Under the given conditions, the synthesis of products can be realized, which are usually produced far from normal conditions (eg high pressure, high temperature).
Ausf UhrungsbeispielExecution example
The reactor consists of the reaction space 1, which is occupied by an adsorptive layer 4. Between anode 2 and cathode 3, a glow discharge burns. The reaction components are introduced into the reactor through feeds 5 and 6. Through the pump port 9 flow conditions are maintained in the reactor. The reaction products are frozen in the cold trap 7, which is in the Dewar vessel 8 filled with liquid nitrogen.
