Abstract
The invention relates to a feed which is produced using animal body fat and is used primarily in the cattle fattening. The aim of the invention is to hitherto unused energy carriers in feed rations for d. Use ruminating feces sensibly and thus pay for expensive extraction meal or concentrated feed. The invention has for its object to provide a fattening feed for Wiederkaeuer, which ensures a sufficient coverage of the energy demand and thus attractive mast increase at a possible low concentrate content. Contrary to the predictions of the experts, it has surprisingly been found that the additional administration of 200 to 1000 g of animal body fat in fattening bulls has an extraordinarily positive effect on the daily increase in fattening. The total fat content of the feed ration is thus 8-10% of the dry matter.

Anwendungsgebiet der ErfindungField of application of the invention

Charakteristik der bekanntenCharacteristic of the known
The known feeds for ruminants contain cur little fat, because pasture and field feed are poor in lipid substances. Extractable from green fodder ether extract, conventionally referred to as Fohfett, is between 5 - 8 % of the dry matter and consists of many components of unequal chemical composition »In addition to pure triglycerides it contains digalactosyl - 1,2 - diglycerides (WEEHIHG, .. 1959r SHORLAND, 1964 ) Phosphatides, sulfolipids, sterols, long-chain fatty alcohols, waxes, free fatty acids (WBMIIiG, 1962), hydrocarbons, but also chlorophyll, carotons and other ethereal substances. According to HILDITSCH (1956), the crude fat content of the forage grass ranges between 4 and 6 % of its dry matter.
In Extraktionsschroten und anderen Kraftfutterarten tierischen und pflanzlichen Ursprungs liegt der„Fettanteil meist höher' als im Grünfutter und besteht hier in der Hauptsache aus Triglyzeriden, bei pflanzlichen RohstoffenIn extraction and other concentrated feed of animal and vegetable origin, the "fat content is usually higher" than in the green fodder and consists here mainly of triglycerides, vegetable raw materials

Some of them, including those from cuticular waxes, silage, and dried green forage conservatives, differ little in their fat content and fatty acid pattern from their original products (WARD and ALLEM, 1957, WARD, SCOTT, and DAWSON, 1964). There are hardly any data on the level of fat requirement in adult ruminants.
The views on the amount of fat needed and used in feed have changed in recent years »The clear tendency was to use ever lower amounts of fat. According to PIATKOWSKI (1975), dietary fat administered in moderate doses does not seriously affect rumen fermentation. * High fat intake and especially the administration of highly unsaturated fats and high melting point fats should have negative effects (YAGEMBISTER and KAUFJiAM, 1979). In general, only the use of "protected" fats has recently been accepted. However, even then, the decline in feed intake can hardly be avoided. The use of significant quantities of rapeseed oil resulted in tests by JENTSCH u. »According to JAIJOVIC (1981), the use of 5-10 % of the dry substance in milk cations has only a minor effect. The influence of fat supplements on the digestibility of individual nutrients has often been investigated in ruminants, according to findings of BROOKS and coworkers (1965), WHITE and coworkers (1958) as well as DAVIDSOIf and WOODS (1960) inhibit Fettverabreichungen the cellulose digestibility and the Methanproduktion. Ruminants' usual rations have a total fat content of 2 % to 5 %. * Higher levels should be detrimental to ruminal digestion, growth, performance and feed intake (HANDLER, 1969; KOWALCYK u, a., 1977). In the USA, 200-250 g are considered Fat for the most economical rate in cattle fattening. Levels of up to 500 g fat (WILDER, 1965) or occasionally more (ROHR and OKUBO, 1968) had a positive effect on feed conversion and growth rates in further fattening experiments ».
Ziel der ErfindungObject of the invention
The aim of the invention is to use hitherto unused energy sources in feed rations for ruminant feed meaningful and thus replace expensive extraction meal or concentrated feed.
Darlegung des^Wesens der ErfindungExplanation of the nature of the invention
The invention has for its object to provide a fattening feed for ruminants, which ensures at a possible low concentrate content (cereal or protein concentrates), sufficient coverage, especially the energy needs and thus attractive mast increases.
Die Erfindung soll nachstehend an einem Ausfuhrungsbeispiel näher erläutert werden:Contrary to the predictions of the art, it has surprisingly been found that an additional administration of 200 to 1,000 g of carcass fat in fattening bulls in the fattening section from 150 kg to the final fattening (450-500 kg) has an extraordinary positive effect on the daily fattening Feed ration is thus 8-10 % of the dry matter. The invention will be explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment:
