Abstract
The present invention relates to a mixture which is photopolymerizable, in particular with visible radiation, from which, for example, printing plates or etching resist structures can also be produced by means of laser beams. The object of the invention is to provide an information recording material which is reactive in the visible range of the electromagnetic radiation, wherein conventional light sources, but especially lasers of corresponding wavelengths can be used. The sensitivity of the mixture should correspond to at least the known UV systems. The invention is based on the object to provide for known oligomers and monomers, a sensitizer-initiator system whose spectral sensitivity allows to carry out the radical photopolymerization or photocrosslinking in the range of laser emission wavelengths from the visible range. The sensitizer-initiator system consists of an aminoketone and halogenated xanthene dye of the eosin type. The mixture may be used for printing plate making as an etch resist or as a photohardenable paint.
