Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Korrosionsschutz von Elektroden in aggressiven silikatischen Schmelzen, die keine Ionen von Schwermetallen enthalten, welche bei der Temperatur der Schmelze flüssig vorliegen. Sie hat das Ziel, die Korrosion und das dadurch bedingte Einfuhren neuer Elektroden in die Schmelze mit seinen nachteiligen Folgen zu vermeiden. Erfindungsgemäß wird der der Heizung der Schmelze dienende Wechselstrom in der Weise mit einem Gleichstrom überlagert, daß alle zu schützenden Elektroden ein negatives Potential gegenüber einer oder mehreren Hilfselektroden oder gegenüber dem Feuerfest-Material annehmen. Die Überlagerung des Gleichstromes erfolgt mit Impedanzen an solchen Punkten des Heizstromkreises, deren elektrisches Potential dem der Hilfselektroden bzw. des Feuerfest-Materials entspricht. Es wird erreicht, daß in der Schmelze enthaltene Schwermetallionen an den zu schützenden Elektroden entladen werden und um diese eine Schicht bilden, die die Korrosion verhindern. - Figur -The invention relates to a method for the corrosion protection of Electrodes in aggressive silicate melts containing no ions of heavy metals, which at the temperature of the melt in liquid form.
