Plošná textilie ve formě pleteninyFlat textile in the form of a knit
Oblast technikyField of technology
Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). Vlastnosti této textilie by měly přispívat ke zmírnění zdravotních obtíží pacientů a zlepšení kvality jejich života. The technical solution concerns an innovative flat textile in the form of a knit for the needs of people who suffer from some rare skin disease, e.g. Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). The properties of this textile should contribute to alleviating patients' health problems and improving their quality of life.
Dosavadní stav technikyCurrent state of the art
It is estimated that there are more than 500,000 EB patients worldwide and the disease occurs in all population groups, affecting men and women equally. The second large group of disorders with skin manifestations is congenital ichthyosis.
Proto je důležité, aby byly oděvy na ochranu pokožky s ochrannými funkcemi speciálně vyvinuty pro pacienty s EB, aby se zlepšilo jejich pohodlí při nošení a snížilo se riziko poranění kůže prostřednictvím interakce lidské kůže a oděvu jako „druhé kůže“.EB is one of the least serious rare skin diseases and is caused by abnormalities in the structures of the skin. Because of these abnormalities, friction on the skin causes blisters. Because blisters cause wounds that do not heal well and there is currently no medical therapy available to cure this skin condition, patients suffer constant physical and psychological pain throughout their lives. Therefore, it is important that skin protection garments with protective functions are specially developed for EB patients to improve their wearing comfort and reduce the risk of skin injury through the interaction of human skin and clothing as a “second skin”.
Vliv na vznik puchýřů má i pocení. Proto by se osoby s EB neměli oblékat příliš teple, protože pocení podporuje tvorbu puchýřů.Sweating also has an effect on the formation of blisters. Therefore, people with EB should not dress too warmly, as sweating promotes the formation of blisters.
The primary goal in the care of patients with EB is the selection of textiles that have low friction, a very soft feel and physiological properties.
Antibacterial properties are very important to prevent infection in wounds caused by blisters.
It is clear from the above knowledge that the selection of the appropriate material and construction of the textile is primary.
According to research in professional publications, a number of companies deal with research and development of suitable clothing for patients with EB, and there is an offer of special clothing on the market.
In terms of material composition, they are mostly made of cotton, possibly with a proportion of polyester, viscose, treated genuine silk and lyocell are also mentioned.
For example, we can mention the company Lenzing Group, which is the market leader in the segment of special fibers made from renewable raw material - wood. The company provides both financial support and textiles made from its fibers to the DEBRA Austria patient organization for "butterfly children". Several patients with the skin disorder Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) tested leggings, underwear, pyjamas, blankets and bedding made from TENCEL™ fibers, a lyocell fiber based on regenerated cellulose produced by the Lenzing Group.
Research and development of clothes for people with EB are carried out by some workplaces. E.g.
v periodiku Textile Research Journal2018, Vol. 88(6) str.704-716, byl publikovaný odborný článek „A pilot intervention with chitosan/cotton knitted jersey fabric to provide comfort for epidermolysis bullosa patients“,Ngan Yi Kitty Lam, Meng Zhang, Chenxiao Yang, Chu Po Ho andin Textile Research Journal2018, Vol. 88(6) p.704-716, a professional article "A pilot intervention with chitosan/cotton knitted jersey fabric to provide comfort for epidermolysis bullosa patients" was published, Ngan Yi Kitty Lam, Meng Zhang, Chenxiao Yang, Chu Po Ho and

Li Li. It deals with the issue of the relationship between the percentage of chitosan composition in smooth jersey knitwear and its effect on comfort parameters from the point of view of the needs of patients with EB.
The authors conclude that a fabric with added chitosan fibers as part of the material composition will provide better smoothness, softness and thermal conductivity, which will contribute to the reduction of friction between the clothing and the patients' skin.
Podstata technického řešeníThe essence of the technical solution
Cílem tohoto technického řešení je vytvoření plošné textilie, která má nízké tření, velmi jemný omak a fyziologické vlastnosti. The goal of this technical solution is to create a flat textile that has low friction, a very fine texture and physiological properties.
This objective is achieved by a flat fabric in the form of a knit with a low coefficient of friction and excellent texture for clothing patients with a rare skin disease, the textile containing a mono- or multifilament of modified polypropylene with integrated cellulose, with a length weight of 50 dtex to 250 dtex.
Přednostně obsahuje tato plošná textilie přízi z vláken z regenerované celulózy o délkové hmotnosti 10 až 25 tex.Preferably, this flat textile contains yarn from regenerated cellulose fibers with a length weight of 10 to 25 tex.
The flat fabric is preferably in the form of a single-faced underlaid knitwear, or in the form of a double-faced knitwear, or in the form of a single-faced underlaid patterned knitwear.
It is also advantageous if said yarn made of regenerated cellulose fibers is made of polyamide or modal fibers.
Přednostně má mono- nebo multifilament z modifikovaného polypropylenu antibakteriální účinky.Monofilament or multifilament from modified polypropylene preferably has antibacterial effects.
Uvedený multifilament z modifikovaného polypropylenu je s výhodou skaný.Said multifilament from modified polypropylene is preferably scanned.
Uvedený multifilament z modifikovaného polypropylenu je s výhodou hladký.Said multifilament from modified polypropylene is preferably smooth.
Multifilament z modifikovaného polypropylenu tvoří přednostně 30 až 98 % hmotn. plošné textilie.Multifilament from modified polypropylene preferably comprises 30 to 98% by weight. flat textiles.
Příze z vláken z regenerované celulózy tvoří přednostně 2 až 70 % hmotn. plošné textilie.Yarns from regenerated cellulose fibers preferably comprise 2 to 70% by weight. flat textiles.
The flat textile, in the form of a knitted fabric, is made as a special structure composed of modified polypropylene fibers, possibly with the addition of fibers based on regenerated cellulose.
Speciální modifikovaná polypropylenová vlákna mají ultra nízký koeficient tření a přednostně integrovanou permanentní antibakteriální ochranu pomocí aktivitního antimikrobiálního činidla, které kontroluje a zabraňuje kožním infekcím bez vedlejších účinků (nemění přirozenou bakteriální flóru kůže a sliznic). Specially modified polypropylene fibers have an ultra-low coefficient of friction and preferentially integrated permanent antibacterial protection with an active antimicrobial agent that controls and prevents skin infections without side effects (does not change the natural bacterial flora of the skin and mucous membranes). The fibers are ideal for use on parts of the body where movement causes friction. They are very suitable for people with skin diseases as they provide immediate relief and prevent irritation. The fibers are in the form of multifilament or monofilament. Polypropylene multifil with a length weight of 50 to 150 dtex is preferably used.
In the structure of the knitted fabric, yarn from modal fibers with a length weight of, for example, 20 tex can also be used, which contributes to ensuring optimal physiological properties. Modal fibers are made from regenerated cellulose, have good strength, high elasticity, absorb liquids well and are gentle on the skin. Compared to standard viscose fibers, they have better tenacity and moisture absorption.
Polyamide fibers with a smooth surface can also be used.

Současně napomáhá snadnému odstranění nečistot praním, kdy postačí teplota prací lázně 40 °C.The structure of the textile is important, which, together with the material composition, provides sensory and physiological comfort, as well as the ability to easily remove creams and ointments that are applied to the skin in case of skin diseases. The knit glides smoothly over the skin and absorbs the harmful friction that can damage the skin. At the same time, it helps to easily remove dirt by washing, when the washing bath temperature of 40 °C is sufficient.
