K základnímu výcviku psů ve sportovní a služební kynologii patří cviky poslušnosti a obratnosti. Pes se učí zdolávat různé druhy a typy překážek. Patří mezi ně i skok přes překážku. Pes překonává překážku skokem, při kterém sejí nesmí dotknout.The basic training of dogs in sports and service cynology include obedience and dexterity exercises.
