Abstract

Field of technology

The invention relates to a decorative strip comprising a decorative part made of a transparent material.

Prior art

Decorative parts, especially moldings, of various materials are used in car interiors. For the highest models, these decorative strips can be made of real wood and metal, for other models they are made of plastic. Used plastics of various types, colors, finishes, etc. Plastics can imitate wood and metal. To enhance the effect, such decorative strips can be backlit.

WO 2017121516 A1 discloses a decorative strip arrangement comprising a flat decorative element, to the back of which adjoins a diffuser and on it layers which are transparent and can conduct light. The mentioned document solves the simplification of the whole assembly of the illuminated decorative element, especially its reliability, functionality and low noise.

DE 102013213523 A1 describes an arrangement of an illuminating decorative strip, where the strip is made in one piece, its shape arrangement acting as a diffuser. In its rear part there is a light source - a light guide. It has a light deflection section on its upper side, where the aim of said arrangement is to untie the light rays and thus ensure the homogeneity of the illumination of the decorative part.

The aim of the invention is to design such a decorative strip, in which a surprising effect imitating the appearance of Czech cut crystal would be achieved by a simple and inexpensive construction.

The essence of the invention

This object is achieved by a decorative strip comprising a decorative part made of transparent material, a diffuser and a light source according to the invention, the essence of which consists in that the decorative part has a full triangular cross-section with a bottom surface, a back surface and a front surface. the lower surface of the decorative part is arranged at an angle of less than 90 ° to each other and at least parts of the lower surface have an openwork surface, and at least a part of the rear surface of the decorative part (1) abuts a diffuser (3) behind which a light source is arranged.

The broken surfaces and their sharp edges ensure a deep visual 3D effect when viewed through a mass of transparent material. This effect is subsequently increased by the fact that a separate diffuser rests on at least a part of the rear surface of the decorative part made of transparent material, and thus a mirror effect is created on this surface reflecting the lower broken surface. The solution according to the invention makes it possible to design effective decorative strips, the construction of which is simple and therefore also production-intensive, while the resulting effect imitates the appearance of Czech cut crystal.

According to a preferred embodiment, the light source comprises a light guide.

To facilitate installation in a car, it is advantageous if a carrier of the decorative part is connected to the part made of transparent material on at least a part of the rear surface above the diffuser.

Examples of embodiments of the invention

The decorative strip according to the exemplary embodiment of FIG. 1 comprises a decorative part 1 made of a transparent material, in this case polycarbonate. In an embodiment according to the invention, the decorative part 1 has a cross-sectional shape approaching a triangle with the bottom surface 8, the back surface 9 and the front surface 10. The back surface 9 and the bottom surface 8 of the decorative part 1 are arranged at an angle of less than 90 ° to each other.

The decorative part 1 has an openwork surface 2 formed on a part of the bottom surface 8. The openwork surface 2 in this case means a "broken" or also a "crystalline" surface formed by surfaces of different inclinations.

A diffuser 3 rests on at least a part of the rear surface 9 of the decorative part 1 and a light source is arranged behind the diffuser 3, formed by a light guide 4 connected to an RGB module. In the embodiment shown, the light guides 4 are two and cover the entire length of the decorative strip (see Fig. 2).

The rest of the rear surface 9 of the decorative part 1 is connected to the carrier 5 of the decorative part made of ABS copolymer (see Fig. 1). Decorative part 1 and decorative part carrier 5 are made by so-called 2K technology, ie two-component injection molding technology, which is a technology in which two plastics are injected, which differ in material type, colors, hardness, etc. the strip is fixed to the instrument panel 6. In Fig. 3, the location of the decorative strip on the instrument panel 6 is indicated by an arrow.

Looking at the decorative strip in the direction 7 (see Fig. 1), the perforated surface 2 at its lower part can be seen in the view through the decorative part 1, the differently inclined surfaces of the perforated surface 2 reflecting light with different intensity, creating a depth effect of the crystal structure. which evokes the impression of Czech crystal in the observer.

The diffuser 3, attached to the decorative part 1, creates a mirror reflection - it reflects the lower openwork surface 2 and thus increases the optical-depth crystalline effect. In order to achieve this function of the diffuser 3, the diffuser 3 must not be glued to the part 1 made of transparent material or connected, for example, by 2K technology. For proper operation, even a small air gap must be maintained between these parts. The light supplied by the light guide 4 and scattered by the diffuser 3 ensures an even illumination of the entire decorative strip.
