Senzor pro zjišťování přítomnosti tekutin, zejména pro kapalné a případně i plynné látkySensor for detecting the presence of liquids, especially for liquid and possibly gaseous substances
Oblast technikyTechnical field
The invention relates to a sensor for detecting the presence of liquids, in particular for liquid and optionally gaseous substances, which can be used for laboratory and industrial operations, storage areas and wherever monitoring and indication of said substances is required. The sensor is suitable for liquid substances as well as for precise monitoring of their level.
Dosavadní stav technikyBACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
To date, a wide variety of methods and devices are used to indicate and detect the presence of both 15 gaseous and liquid substances in various environments, premises or storage tanks and vessels, laboratory technology, refineries and other industrial plants. These devices are installed inter alia. for the safety of the operation and safe storage of flammable and explosive substances, or for the monitoring and indication of substances of concern for various technical or operational reasons. The basic requirement for these devices is their functional reliability, accuracy and safe construction. At the same time, there is an effort to prevent these devices from becoming a source of technical accidents, eg due to overheating or a short circuit in the electrical circuit, which is still widely used in this type of device.
Furthermore, for similar purposes it is known to use luminous flux interrupters in an optokable which is controlled by an elastic fuse reacting to various substances by its own deformation or interruption, which is evaluated and transmitted by the electronic unit as a warning or information signal. This device has the advantage of a simple design that does not use an electrical circuit, but after its use it is necessary to replace the elastic fuse with a new one, which places the operator with demands on its installation, for example, in places with difficult access. In addition, the device 30 comprises moving parts that may be a source of failure.
Podstata vynálezuSUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The above-mentioned disadvantages eliminate and the technical requirements are met to a large extent by a sensor for detecting the presence of liquids, in particular for liquid and possibly even gaseous substances according to the invention, which consists in the fact that between the light emitting part and the light receiving part The contact loop is housed in a housing having an open bottom to which the contact loop faces.
Vhodným umístěním lze senzor podle vynálezu využít i k určení výšky hladiny u kapalných látek s vysokou přesností a při nastavení zvlášť vysokéThe advantages of the sensor according to the invention are in particular a very simple construction, providing high functional reliability and wide application possibilities, and the sensor itself can be placed in any environment, including explosive or flammable, as the principle based on 45 light propagation in the opto-cable shows no appreciable and thus the possibility of short-circuiting, overheating or other safety implications. The evaluation units made up of the transmitting and receiving part can also be placed at a greater distance from the sensor itself, eg at the control center, security or signaling center, etc. The solution is particularly suitable for indicating highly flammable oil-based liquid substances or flammable solvents. A further advantage of the sensor lies in the possibility of 50 preset sensitivity and can reliably detect the presence of water in other liquids. The contact loop of the sensor in contact with the fluid causes an instantaneous response and equally quickly resolves when the contact is lost. By suitable placement, the sensor according to the invention can also be used to determine the level of liquids with high accuracy and at a particularly high setting

In order to illustrate the invention, a schematic diagram is shown in which the basic components are shown.
Příklad provedení vynálezuDETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The attached illustration shows the light-emitting part 1 and the light-receiving part,, which are interconnected by an opto-cable 2 covered in some of its part 15, for example by an open-bottom housing 5. On the exposed portions of the optical cable 2 inside the package 5 are formed contact loops 3, 3 1 facing the open bottom of the housing 5, which are formed by simply bending the optical cable 2 in situ by exposing the insulating layer, for example a U-shaped core The exposed portion of the optical cable 2 is the contact point with the monitored or indicated fluid, in this particular embodiment, the device is intended for liquid 20 substances with the indicated liquid level 4. An exemplary device utilizes an opto-cable 2 made on the basis of special plastics.
Odpovídající hodnoty výstupního signálu lze dále zpracovat a vyhodnotit. The sensor according to the invention operates in such a way that if the contact loop 3 comes into contact with the fluid of interest, there is a partial emission of luminous flux at this point and this drop in the light energy 25 is recorded on the light-receiving portion. Since the value of partial radiation is characteristic of different types of fluids based on the refractive index of the light beam of a particular substance, their type and their presence in the monitored environment can be reliably determined. The corresponding values of the output signal can be further processed and evaluated.
