Abstract

A clarinet formed by a body in which tone holes (2) are provided, provided with an insert (3) whose fibers extend transversely to the fibers of the clarinet body. The insert (3) is generally made of a different wood than that of the clarinet body, mostly granadile or rosewood or mopanite or pink or pear or cocobol.

Description

Technical field

The invention relates to a clarinet comprising a body in which tone holes are provided.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The clarinets consist of a mouthpiece, provided with a reed, usually made of wood, and a trembling stream of air from the musician's mouth. The mouthpiece is slid into the keg, which can be slightly pulled to reduce the clarinet tone. The keg is slid onto the upper part, which is mostly left-handed while playing, and is slid into the lower part, which is mostly right-handed when playing. At the bottom is a sound box, which improves the sound of deep tones. The upper and lower parts are made of granadilla, cocobol or boxwood, whose fibers are arranged in the axial direction of the tool body, in which the tone holes are made. When playing the instrument, the instrument body vibrates and the fibers are dropped at the top of the tone holes, resulting in a leak in the tone hole, resulting in poor game comfort, poor echo and distortion of the instrument tones.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide tone opening solutions that prevent the fibers from dropping in the upper portion of the tone openings and thereby distort the tones of the instrument.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The aim is achieved by the clarinet according to the invention, which is characterized in that the tone holes are provided with an insert of a different wood than the instrument body, mostly grenadile, rosewood, mopanite, pink, pear or cocobol. The insert fibers are transverse to those of the tool body. Depending on the type of wood in the insert, the tone of the instrument is affected, sharper or softer, etc.

Clarification of drawings

The upper part of the clarinet body is shown in FIG. 1 and this part of the clarinet is in section A-A of FIG. 1 shown in FIG. 2. FIG. 3 is an enlargement of detail C of the insert placed in the tonal opening.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In this exemplary embodiment, the clarinet is made of granadile wood and consists of a spout inserted into the keg, which is slid onto the upper part 1 of the clarinet, further slid onto the lower part of the clarinet with the bell inserted. The upper part 1 and the lower part of the clarinet are provided with tone holes 2, provided with pear wood inserts 3. In general, however, granadile, rosewood, mopavit, pink or cocobol wood is also used to produce the insert. The essence is that the wood of the insert 3 is different from the wood of the tool body, thus also from the wood of the upper part 1 and the lower part of the clarinet and the wood fibers of the insert 3 extend transversely to the fibers of these parts. Thus, the wood fibers of the insert 3 extend transversely to the coaxial fibers of the upper part 1 and the lower part of the clarinet. This prevents the fibers from falling out of the tone openings 2 due to the vibrations generated when playing the instrument.
