Abstract

Description

The invention relates to the field of car safety, in particular to the mounting of a camera in a car.

State of the art

Various cameras are used in cars, mainly for security reasons. The most common are reversing cameras, which capture the area immediately behind the car when reversing. Storage spaces are created for the cameras in the respective car parts, into which the cameras are inserted. By touching the side parts of the camera body with the abutment surfaces of the side walls of the storage spaces, the camera is fixed in radial directions. In the axial direction, the camera is fixed by a lid which covers the storage space after mounting the camera and which rests on the rear surface of the camera body.

Continued development in the field of cameras not only increases their technical sophistication, but also reduces their external dimensions and weight. Due to the smaller external dimensions of the camera, there is a problem with storing and fixing the camera in existing storage spaces.

The essence of the invention

The object of the invention is to provide the simplest possible production and assembly of the camera in a car, fixing its position when the external dimensions of the camera are smaller than the dimensions of the storage space, without any modifications to the part in which the storage space is formed.

This object is achieved by placing the camera in a car in a storage space formed in the car part, in particular in the body part according to the invention, the essence of which consists in inserting an insert into the camera storage space.

The insert is provided with a bottom abutting the rear surface of the camera, the bottom compensating for the clearance between the camera and the cover element of the storage space in the axial direction.

The bottom of the insert is provided with an opening for the passage of the camera's power supply.

The insert can advantageously be made of plastic.
