Abstract

The invention relates to a spring grinder characterized in that it consists of a pair of parallel guide rails (1) which are provided with grips (2) for fixing the rails (1) to the peripheral structure of the pen at both ends and are provided with height-adjustable stops. The solution relates to a passive spring gossip, especially for smaller livestock.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

All existing passive gossipers use only the surface for scratching the hips or back. Moreover, they are fixed to the wall of the pen or wall without the possibility of adjusting the height of the scratcher above the ground, regardless of different age categories of animals, as is the case of scratches protected in the Czech Republic according to PV 2005-334 and PUV 2007-18964 (UV 17808).

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The aforementioned drawbacks are overcome by the spring-handled gibber according to the invention, which consists of a pair of parallel guide rails which are provided at both ends with clips for fastening the rails to the peripheral structure of the pen. The rails are provided with height-adjustable stops to move the carrier plate along the rails according to the height of the animal being scratched. A pressure plate is rotatably attached to the support plate by a pivot joint, which is provided at the opposite end of the support plate with a pressure mechanism which is connected to the support plate at the other end so that the support plate and the pressure plate together form the same internal angle for the animal. The inner sides of the support plate and the pressure plate are provided with a roughened material and the pressure mechanism is formed by a spring with a damper that connects the support plate and the pressure plate.

The scratcher according to the invention is further characterized in that the roughened material is a rubber mat.

The scratcher according to the invention is also characterized in that the free ends of the pressure plate and the support plate are attached as a roughened material with rubber protrusions to form an arc in the interior space between the support plate and the pressure plate.

The scratcher according to the invention is further characterized in that the pressure plate and the support plate form a minimum internal angle of 90 ° therebetween.

The scratcher according to the invention allows the animals to comfortably scratch regardless of the height of the animal at the height of the animal, is easy to operate, and substantially enhances the welfare of the animals.

The grinder according to the invention operates by adjusting the height of the support plate 4 above the ground according to the height of the animals at the height of the ground by means of the stop 3 and secured in the selected position by the stops 3. The animal arrives at the grinder according to the invention and satisfies its need. At the same time, it can simultaneously scratch the entire side profile including the back. This is made possible by the thrust mechanism 7 and the thrust plate 5, which ensure a constant thrust of the roughened scratch material 9 on the animal body.

It is suitable for enhancing the crushing effect of the scratcher according to the invention, when the free ends of the pressure plate 5 and the support plate 4 are attached as a roughened material 9 with rubber protrusions to form an arc in the interior space between the support plate 4 and the pressure plate 5.

Industrial applicability

With a spring-gripper it is possible to satisfy the comfortable housing of animals of different ages and thus size categories. It is mainly intended for smaller livestock such as pigs, goats, sheep or calves. It will contribute to an increase in animal welfare and will also improve the economic performance of the breed.
