Abstract
Το Υγροποιημένο Φυσικό Αέριο (LΝG) μετατρέπεται σε ένα υπέρθερμο υγρό σε μία θερμοκρασία μεγαλύτερη από 5°C, μέσω της διέλευσης του υπό πίεση, διαμέσου ενός συστήματος ενός πρώτου, δεύτερου και τρίτου κύριων σταδίων εναλλαγής θερμότητας 10, 12 και 14 σε σειρά, στα οποία το φυσικό αέριο θερμαίνεται από ένα κυκλοφορούν υγρό εναλλαγής θερμότητας, το οποίο ρέει σε κυκλώματα εναλλαγής θερμότητας 16, 18 και 20, αντίστοιχα. Το υγρό εναλλαγής θερμότητας συμπυκνώνεται στα στάδια εναλλαγής θερμότητας 10 και 12 και ατμοποιείται εν μέρει σε εξαρτημένους εναλλάκτες θερμότητας 28, 30 και 58 οι οποίοι θερμαίνονται τυπικά μέσω θαλασσινού νερού, το οποίο ρέει σε έναν ανοικτό κύκλο. Το υγρό εναλλαγής θερμότητας στα κυκλώματα 16 και 18 μπορεί να είναι προπάνιο. Το κύκλωμα εναλλαγής θερμότητας 20 μπορεί επίσης να λειτουργεί με προπάνιο ή, εναλλακτικά, ένα υγρό, όπως είναι το νερό ή ένα μείγμα νερού-γλυκόλης, το οποίο δεν αλλάζει φάση στο στάδιο εναλλαγής θερμότητας 14.
