Abstract

Περιγράφεται διαδικασία στην οποία το νήμα πέλους υφαίνεται με νήματα στημονιού και υφαδιού από βαμβάκι, για να παραχθούν θηλειωτά υφάσματα, όπως οι πετσέτες. Το ύφασμα στη συνέχεια πλένεται σε ζεστό νερό για να διαλυθούν οι ίνες ΡVΑ. Η ποσότητα των ινών που διαλύονται, εξαρτάται από την τιμή «count» του νήματος ή των νημάτων που χρησιμοποιούνται. Με τη διάλυση των ινών ΡVΑ, παράγεται ένας κοίλος χώρος αέρα σε όλο το νήμα πέλους, ο οποίος αντιστοιχεί σε μια αύξηση στον χώρο αέρα στο νήμα πέλους. Με την αύξηση του χώρου αέρα στο νήμα πέλους, οι πετσέτες που προκύπτουν είναι μαλακότερες και ογκωδέστερες από τις τυπικές βαμβακερές πετσέτες. Η παρούσα εφεύρεση αφορά περαιτέρω σε νήμα πέλους σε θηλειωτό υφαντό ύφασμα (νήμα στημονιού) ή νήμα υφαδιού στην περίπτωση επίπεδων υφασμάτων.A procedure is described in which the pear yarn is woven with warp and weft yarns to produce loom fabrics, such as towels. The fabric is then washed in warm water to dissolve the PVA fibers. The amount of fiber dissolved depends on the "count" value of the yarn or yarn used. By dissolving the PVA fibers, a concave air space is generated throughout the pear thread, which corresponds to an increase in air space in the pear thread. With the increase in air space in the pile yarn, the resulting towels are softer and bulkier than standard cotton towels.
