Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con la rama de la producción animal, en particular con la obtención de un alimento ensilado, químico-biológico, para ser utilizado como sustituto parcial del maíz en la dieta de los animales. El procedimiento de obtención de alimentos consiste en moler la yuca o el boniato; mezclar con miel B de caña de azúcar, crema de Saccharomyces cerevisiae termolizada y vinaza concentrada; y, posteriormente, ensilar durante cinco días a temperatura ambiente. En el proceso de fermentación sumergida que ocurre durante el ensilado se producen cambios en las estructuras de las fuentes amiláceas, se sintetiza proteína microbiana y se generan ácidos orgánicos que inciden en el pH del alimento (3,6-3,9). Estas características, conjuntamente con los ácidos orgánicos que aporta la vinaza, permiten que el alimento se conserve por un periodo mínimo de seis meses y que posea valor nutricional adecuado para su uso en la producción animal.
