Abstract
Un dispositivo para reducir la fricción de un flujo de fluido viscoso en un conducto que incluye un cuerpo (10, 110) posicionable para definir al menos un segmento de una trayectoria de flujo del fluido viscoso en o contigua al conducto, una cavidad (40, 140) en el cuerpo para retener el fluido lubricante, y al menos un puerto (42, 142) en el cuerpo para suministrar fluido lubricante a la cavidad. Un arreglo de salida de fluido (48, 148) desde la cavidad suministra fluido lubricante a la trayectoria de flujo para formar una película lubricante corriente abajo alrededor del fluido viscoso que fluye en la misma. El arreglo de salida de fluido comprende una abertura sustancialmente continua o un anillo con aberturas muy juntas alrededor de la trayectoria de flujo. La cavidad comprende un conjunto de pasajes en el cuerpo que incluye una pluralidad de pasajes alargados (55. 155) que se extienden alrededor de la trayectoria de flujo que son efectivos colectivamente para reducir la variación de presión y por lo tanto la variación de velocidad del fluido lubricante suministrado a lo largo del arreglo de salida.
