Abstract

Esta invención se refiere a una molécula inmunogénica que comprende una secuencia de aminoácidos contigua de un ligando de invasión de una cepa de Plasmodium falciparum, siendo capaz el ligando de invasión de unirse a un receptor de eritrocitos, siendo la función del receptor resistente a tripsina y neuraminidasa y quimotripsina, en donde, cuando se administra a un sujeto, la molécula es capaz de inducir una respuesta inmune en la cepa. La invención se refiere, además, a composiciones y métodos para el tratamiento de enfermedades tal como la malaria.
