Abstract

An easily openable cover 1 of sheet metal, in particular sheet steel, is provided in which the opening part, which is undetachably connected to the cover sheet, and the gripping tab 10, which is undetachably connected to the cover sheet, are so designed and have contact areas interacting with each other in such a way that, during opening particularly favourable lever conditions, and hence particularly favourable force conditions, exist for the initial operation of breaking in the notched line 4 on the one hand and for the further tearing of the notched line on the other hand. <IMAGE>
