Abstract

The device serves for transferring sewages inside the masonry sewer (9) for the duration of repairing of the damaged masonry of the sewer. It comprises two aligned steel tubes (3, 4), which are mutually retractable. A steel face (1) is fixedly welded on the upstream end of the inner tube (3) and the other face (2) is freely slipped over. Both faces (1, 2) have a shape of the cross-section of the repaired sewer (9), decreased by 1 cm in its section. The height of the faces is 2/3 of the height of the sewer. A sealing material (6) is placed in between the faces, and it is squeezed out as the faces (1, 2) are tightened by forcing screws (5), thus sealing off the space between the faces (1, 2) and masonry (9) of the sewer. The outer tube (4) is provided with an adjustable skid (7), which enables shifting of the tube and at the same time creating working space beneath the device. The length of the steel tubes (3, 4) is determined by the length of the repaired section. The entire device is anchored by ropes (14) from nearest sewer manholes (12). By tightening the section of the sewer, the waste backwater flows through the device, which enables access to the repaired place.<IMAGE>
