Abstract

Device without energy consumption isolates and accumulates molecules of foreign substances from atmosphere and/or from inert gases by sorption-diffusion mechanism. It consists of a circular sleeve (2) a pair of efficient diffusers (3), equipped with screening elements (8) and of a tablet (1) with sorptive activity focused on the walls. The tablet (1) is arranged in the space between both diffusers (3) in the central part of the sleeve (2). The diffusers (3) are equipped with plane-parallel plates with thickness of 0.8 to 1 mm with a network of axial holes with diameter of 3 to 5 mm at a surface density of 400 to 550 holes per square decimetre. The transport of the sampled molecules by both diffusers in the direction to both wall of the sorptive tablet is controlled precisely by the 1st Fick's law, where the negative influence of the flow of the molecules of the examined gas outside the device is eliminated by gas-permeable screening elements (8) of a shape of a hollow cylinder with high aerodynamic resistance. The device can be used mainly for checking and analytical examinations in atmosphere by laboratories of industrial facilities, air piping laboratories, hygiene stations, agricultural installations and similar.<IMAGE>
