The solution concerns a method of preparation of modified polymers of ε-caprolactam by anionic polymerization of ε-caprolactam initiated by alkaline salts of ε-caprolactam or their precursors, and activated by monoisocyanates, diisocyanates or their blocked analogues, or their mixtures also with other activators. It consists in polymerization at concurrent action of 0.1 to 40 percent by weight of low-molecular-weight polyethers with hydroxyl and carboxyl terminal functional groups. The polymerization proceeds isothermally for a period of 1 to 6000 minutes at a temperature of 140 to 250 degrees C.
