Abstract
The method of preparation of derivatives of 5(6)-thiocyanatobenzimidazole of general formula I, where R<1> means alkoxycarbonyl amino group with 1 or 2 carbon atoms in alkoxyl part, consists in the fact that the compound of general formula II, in which R<1> is of the above mentioned meaning, is let to react with gas chlorine and rhodanide of general formula III, in which R<3> is the atom of alkaline metal, metal of alkaline earths or amino group.The compounds prepared in the above-described manner are intermediate products in production of benzimidazole derivatives, known as anthelmintics.<IMAGE>
