Abstract

The solution concerns a method of reextraction of Th, Y, Ce and heavy lanthanides from HDEHP (bis-(2-ethylhexyl)-phosphoric acid) extraction agent used in extractive division of lanthanides. The solution consists in the contact of an organic solution of HDEHP extractant containing the above-mentioned metals with aqueous or alcoholic solution of oxalic acid, or eventually of soluble oxalates. All the above mentioned metals transit into the water phase in the form of precipitates of oxalates and during the organic phase the extractant is regenerated back to free HDEHP, which can be reused in the extraction process.
