Abstract

The purpose of this solution is an increase of thread quality and decrease of energy consumption for forming the threads. This purpose is achieved by the method of production of metallic threads, the essence of which lies in the fact that a thread semi-product within the moulding process is subject to stretching along the axis of the threads due to a straight reversal movement of cylinders while the speed of the cylinder movement is set forth by the following relation:<IMAGE>where e is the degree of pressure equal to the ratio of diameters of the thread semi-product and thread;db is the thread diameter;V1, V2 are peripheral velocities of the first and second cylinder;alpha is the contact angle of the thread semi-product and cylinder.<IMAGE>
