Popis řešení je doplněn sekvenčním výčtem jednotlivých operací úpravy na třídicích zařízeních a tabulkou granulometrických rozsevů.)The procedure for granulometric treatment of dolomite sands for the sintering process, in which dolomite sand with a grain size of 0 to 20 mm is supplied as the starting raw material for treatment, is carried out in such a way that the dolomite sand is sorted into an undersize fraction of up to 5 mm, which is fed into the agglomeration process, and into an oversize fraction of over 5 mm, which is first ground and then sorted in a closed cycle, while the ground product with a grain size of up to 5 mm is fed into the agglomeration process. The description of the solution is supplemented by a sequential list of individual treatment operations on sorting equipment and a table of granulometric distributions.

Description

The invention addresses a process for treating dolomitic sands to granulometric fractions desired for the production of blast furnace agglomerate.

Rudná složka vysokopecního aglomerátu, tj. většina železných a manganových rud má přebytek kyselých složek, které vyžaduji, aby do aglomeračního pochodu byly vnášeny přísady zásaditého charakteru, například dolomit, dolomitické písky, vápenec, vápno a podobně.The ore component of blast furnace sinter, i.e. most iron and manganese ores, has an excess of acidic components, which requires that additives of an alkaline nature be introduced into the sintering process, for example dolomite, dolomitic sands, limestone, lime, and the like.

Optimální průběh aglomeračního pochodu vyžaduje, aby se velikost těchto bazických částic pohybovala v rozmezí 0,5 až 3 mm. Jemnější a prachové podíly snižují výkon aglomeračního zařízení, protože u nich probíhá termická disociace uhličitanů velmi aktivně za intenzivního vývinu oxidu uhličitého, bránícího průniku žhavých spalinových složek hoření spékanou vrstvou. Naopak nadměrná velikost dolomitických částic obvykle větších než 6 mm brání dokonalému průběhu chemických reakcí s kyselými rudnými složkami a v aglomerátu zůstává větší množství polovypálených částic dolomitického vápna, které reaguje i s atmosférickou vlhkostí za vzniku objemových změn, jež mají za následek sníženou pevnost a rozpadovost aglomerátu. V běžné praxi je dosažitelné a provozně uspokojivé granulometrické rozmezí dolomitických částic od 0 do 5 mm.The optimal course of the agglomeration process requires that the size of these basic particles range from 0.5 to 3 mm. Finer and dusty fractions reduce the performance of the agglomeration equipment, because in them the thermal dissociation of carbonates takes place very actively with intensive evolution of carbon dioxide, preventing the penetration of hot combustion gas components through the sintered layer. On the other hand, the excessive size of dolomite particles, usually larger than 6 mm, prevents the perfect course of chemical reactions with acidic ore components and a larger amount of half-burnt dolomite lime particles remains in the agglomerate, which reacts with atmospheric moisture to form volume changes, which result in reduced strength and disintegration of the agglomerate. In common practice, the achievable and operationally satisfactory granulometric range of dolomite particles is from 0 to 5 mm.

Agglomeration plants are basically supplied with two types of dolomite raw materials: lump dolomite, which is ground in hammer mills and the ground product has a relatively low moisture content and is therefore suitable for subsequent granulometric sorting on screen sorters: another type of dolomite substrate is dolomite sand, which is ground in mining companies after extraction to a maximum grain size of 20 mm, has a relatively high content of dust particles introduced and obtained by grinding and in this form reaches agglomeration plants and the sintering process with a high proportion of particles smaller than 0.5 mm and larger than 5 mm with the aforementioned adverse consequences. However, grinding and sorting of these dolomite sands to a more optimal granulometry is indispensable, because dolomite is hydroscopic and the most physical moisture is contained in dust particles, which during grinding and sorting would clog between the grate holes in hammer mills and clog the sorting surfaces of screen sorters, which would greatly reduce the performance and worsen the sharpness of sorting. In addition, such a granulometric procedure, common for limestone or lump dolomite, loses its technological justification for dolomite sands, because when grinding the entire 0 to 20 mm distribution, the granulometric fraction with a grain size of 0 to 3 mm, which is abundant in dolomite sands, would also be subjected to grinding.

Takové mletí by vedlo k podemílání nejžádanější frakce na jemnější a prachové podíly.Such grinding would lead to the grinding of the most desired fraction into finer and powdery portions.

Dolomitické písky pro svou granulometrii a obsah vody nejsou tedy mletím na kladivových mlýnech vhodné ke klasickému granulometrickému roztřídění,, vyhovujícímu spékácí technologii.Due to their granulometry and water content, dolomitic sands are not suitable for classic granulometric sorting by grinding in hammer mills, which is suitable for sintering technology.

The described problem is solved by the procedure for granulometric treatment of dolomite sands for the sintering process according to the present invention, the essence of which is that the starting dolomite raw material, i.e. dolomite sand with a grain size of 0 to 20 mm, is sorted into an undersize fraction up to 5 mm, which is completely discharged into the agglomeration process, and into an oversize fraction above 5 mm, which is first ground in a closed cycle and then size-sorted, while the ground product with a grain size of up to 5 mm is discharged into the agglomeration process.

Příčinou takto zlepšené kvality aglomerátu je skutečnost, že velikostně optimálněji upravené dolomitické částice reagují s ostatní aglomerační vsázkou do potřebných chemických vazeb mono di - a trikalciumsilikátů bez většího výskytu polovypáleného dolomitického vápna, jehož hydroskopičnost a následné objemové změny se projevují nepříznivě ve snížení pevnosti aglomerátu a jeho rozpadu, který je zdrojem vzniku drobných prachových podílů aglomerátu s velikostí částic pod 5 mm, které zhoršují ostrost třídění před skipem, zhoršují využití redukční a tepelné energie vysokopecního plynu a mají podstatný vliv na zvýšení měrné spotřeby paliva na vysoké peci: podle dostupných údajů 1 % obj. aglomerátu s velikostí částic pod 5 mm zvyšuje spotřebu paliva o 0,7 i.The significance of the treatment of dolomite sands according to the invention lies primarily in the fact that fine and dusty fractions are first separated from the dolomite raw material with a random and technologically disadvantageous granulometric distribution and the remainder is then treated as a substrate, which can be subjected to screening on sieves after grinding without the risk of reducing the sharpness of the sorting: if new dusty fractions are formed during this grinding, these fractions are relatively dry, formed immediately before sorting. This selective grinding and sorting of dolomite sands improves the granulometric homogeneity of the dolomite raw material, better conditions for sorting and its sharpness are created, because the larger granulometric size of the particles has an automatic effect on the sorting surfaces and the investment and operating costs of the grinding equipment are reduced. Dolomite sands treated in this way create better conditions for optimal agglomerate quality both in terms of its chemical and granulometric composition. The reason for such improved agglomerate quality is the fact that the dolomite particles, which are more optimally sized, react with the other agglomeration charge to form the necessary chemical bonds of mono-, di- and tricalcium silicates without a greater occurrence of half-burnt dolomitic lime, whose hygroscopicity and subsequent volume changes have an adverse effect on the reduction of agglomerate strength and its disintegration, which is the source of the formation of small dust fractions of the agglomerate with a particle size of less than 5 mm, which worsen the sharpness of the sorting before the skip, worsen the use of the reducing and thermal energy of the blast furnace gas and have a significant effect on increasing the specific fuel consumption in the blast furnace: according to available data, 1% by volume of agglomerate with a particle size of less than 5 mm increases fuel consumption by 0.7 i.

The procedure and sequence of single operations of granulometric treatment of dolomite sand is evident from the attached drawing, which shows a technological diagram of the process according to the invention.

Dolomitický písek 2 s granulometrii 0 až 20 mm se přivádí na třídič 2, na kterém dochází k roztřídění na podsítnou frakci 2 s velikostí zrna do 5 mm, která se všechna odvádí do aglomeračního procesu 2» například do homogenizačního provozu a/nebo do směšovacích zásobníků, na nadsítnou frakci 2 s velikostí zrna nad 5 mm, která se mele na kladivovém mlýnu 2· Mletý produkt se na třídiči 2 opět třídí na podsítnou frakci 2 s velikostí zrna do 5 mm, která se odvádí do aglomeračního procesu 4 a nadsítná frakce 2 s velikostí zrna nad 5 mm se v uzavřeném cyklu 10 přivádí zpět k mletí v kladivovém mlýně j>·Dolomite sand 2 with a granulometry of 0 to 20 mm is fed to a screener 2, where it is sorted into an undersize fraction 2 with a grain size of up to 5 mm, all of which is fed to the agglomeration process 2, for example to a homogenization plant and/or to mixing tanks, and into an oversize fraction 2 with a grain size of over 5 mm, which is ground in a hammer mill 2. The ground product is sorted again on the screener 2 into an undersize fraction 2 with a grain size of up to 5 mm, which is fed to the agglomeration process 4, and the oversize fraction 2 with a grain size of over 5 mm is fed back to the grinding in the hammer mill in a closed cycle 10.

Výhody tohoto selektivního mletí vyplývají kromě jiného z následujícího přehledu, do něhož byly pojaty čtyři druhy dolomitických písků z různých nalezišt s uvedením jejich průměrných rozsevů:The advantages of this selective grinding result, among other things, from the following overview, which includes four types of dolomite sand from various deposits, with their average distributions:

rozsev sowing /mm/ /mm/ celkem total lokalita location pod 0,5 below 0.5 0,5-3 0.5-3 3-5 3-5 5-8 5-8 8-10 8-10 nad 10 over 10 0-5 0-5 1 1 15,1 15.1 41,0 41.0 18,5 18.5 16,4 16.4 5,4 5.4 3,6 3.6 74,6 74.6 2 2 22,9 22.9 41,7 41.7 17,2 17.2 12,9 12.9 4,3 4.3 1,0 1.0 81,8 81.8 3 3 11,2 11.2 30,8 30.8 21,4 21.4 24,2 24.2 6,0 6.0 6,4 6.4 63,4 63.4 4 4 30,8 30.8 34,2 34.2 17,3 17.3 12,1 12.1 3,9 3.9 1,7 1.7 82,3 82.3

It is clearly evident from the table that on average these dolomite sands contain three-quarters of the fraction up to 5 mm; after its sorting by the method according to the invention, the grinding capacities of the agglomeration plants are therefore only loaded by about 30 percent.
