Description
OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a metallic ceramic and metal-ceramic protective coating of a base material formed on a base material by a combination of several coating technologies whose combined action achieves high adhesion of its individual layers to each other and high adhesion to the base material as a whole.
The prior art protective coatings formed on the base materials to protect them against corrosion, heat, abrasion, erosion and other operational influences are all made by one technology. For example, electrolytic deposition of protective coatings is used as corrosion protection, but can also be produced by hot spraying of anticorrosive metals. Anti-heat are used mainly by plasma torches and anti-abrasion is mainly used by electric arc or by welding. Technologies for remelting the entire surface layer of the base material to improve its properties are also known. Each of these technologies is predominantly dedicated and provides mostly protection against only one type of stress. A common disadvantage of all these known technologies is the low shear and tensile strength in the bonding plane of the base material with the applied functional layer. In addition, due to the different coefficients of expansion of the base material and the protective layer, the thermal stress is exfoliated, the more the larger the area to be protected, since the stresses add up in the entire layer. Some base materials susceptible to high oxidation, especially non-ferrous metals with a high copper content, have the property that the adhesion is improved by heating before they are sprayed, but this is difficult to achieve because the rate of oxidation increases with temperature. Therefore, the spraying is carried out under limited heating, which, however, is insufficient for a good connection of the base material with other layers. The adhesion of the coatings so produced by these methods is relatively low and greatly limits the overall service life of the product to which it is applied.
The aforementioned drawbacks are overcome by the protective coating of the metal surface according to the invention, which consists of a nickel backing layer of 0.001 to 0.1 mm thickness, an intermediate layer of 0.05 to 0.45 mm chromium-nickel steel and a functional layer A ceramic material having a thickness of from 0.10 to 0.55 mm, all layers being joined to each other and together with the base material at intervals of 5 to 40 mm by a melting zone.
The protective coating according to the invention achieves its multipurpose use, as this gives the surface resistance immediately to several types of stress, while increasing the adhesion of the entire layer, which has a particularly favorable effect on the shear resistance between the individual layers and the entire combined layer as a whole. . In addition, this combination results in a reduction of the overall stress of the surface, its division into local spaces around their mutual melting. It is also advantageous that even large areas have approximately the same properties at all locations and that the surface improvement is so resistant to mechanical, chemical and thermal influences that even combined protective layers can be made which are not feasible by individual technologies alone.
2 znázorňuje příčný řez vrstvou s kontinuálním provedením lokálního protavení a obr. 3 jejich půdorysný pohled. In the exemplary embodiment, the protective coating of the base material is shown in the accompanying drawing, wherein FIG. 1 shows a cross-section of a pulse of local melting; FIG. 2 shows a cross-section of a continuous melting layer of FIG.
According to an exemplary embodiment, a metal film of up to 100 microns in thickness, forming the carrier layer 2, is applied to the base metal material 1 after cleaning the surface thereof from a solution heated to the desired temperature by chemical means without additional stress, forming the carrier layer 2. If the base metal material was copper, the surface was purged with corundum grit blasting and the metal film was formed by chemical nickel plating in a type K nickel solution heated to 95 ° C. After such formation of the support layer 2, the metal material 1 is heated to a temperature of 350 ° C and an intermediate layer 3 of chromium-nickel steel up to 450 microns is then applied to the support layer 2 by means of a gas-gas, arc, plasma, hypersonic or detonation gun. Depending on the type of gun, the intermediate layer 3 is applied at a temperature of 2700 to 4500C . A functional layer 4 of up to 550 microns thickness is then applied to the intermediate layer 3 in chrome-nickel steel. The functional layer 4 is made of ceramic. When using alumina as ceramic material is hot dip coating performed at 8000 C C. If the ceramic material 4 as a functional layer on CraOj used, the temperature will be proportionally higher. After all the layers have been applied, the functional corundum layer 4, the chromium-nickel steel interlayer 3 and the nickel support layer 2 are pulsed with a 20 mm laser beam spacing of over 160 Ws at a spacing. Instead of a laser beam, another energy beam can be used which causes melting along the entire axis of its movement and creates a melting of the zones, for example an electron beam or an electric discharge.
Ochranný povlak základního materiálu se s výhodou použije pro ochranu proti korozi, abrazi, erozi, žáru a styku s tekutými kovy, a to zvláště tam, kde tepelná roztažnost základního materiálu je odlišná od tepelné roztažnosti nanesených vrstev, jako napři5 klad ochrany měděných výrobků, zvláště u ocelářských trysek, vysokopecních výfučen, krystalizátorů kovů a taktéž u jiných výrobků, kde se požadují mimořádné mechanické vlastnosti ochranné vrstvy. The protective coating of the base material is preferably used for protection against corrosion, abrasion, erosion, heat and contact with liquid metals, especially where the thermal expansion of the base material is different from the thermal expansion of the deposited layers, such as the protection of copper products, in particular steel nozzles, blast furnaces, metal crystallisers and other products where extraordinary mechanical properties of the protective layer are required.
