Abstract

Part of the front of the tape recorder is retractable and has a pocket for inserting a cartridge into the device. It is locked in the closed or extended position sprung locking elements snapping into the bottom recess withdrawable part of the front wall. (54) Pull-out part of the front of the tape recorder

A portion of the tape deck front wall is retractable and has a pocket for inserting a cassette into the apparatus. In the closed or extended position, it is secured by spring-loaded locking elements snapping into the recesses in the bottom of the extendable part of the front wall. Extending a portion of the front wall with a pocket whose rear wall is provided with apertures corresponding to the position and dimensions of the apertures in the cassette body ensures easy insertion and removal of the cassette into and from the tape deck. Part of the front wall can also be removed completely from the unit for good access to the recording and sensing heads for cleaning.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a retractable portion of a front wall of a cassette instrument adapted to manually insert cassettes operating in a vertical position.

Known end faces of cassette recorders operating in a vertical position are provided with hinged slots mostly along the lower edge, which are connected to complex guidance and security devices for precisely positioning the inserted cassette. While such devices provide rapid and accurate insertion of the cassette, they greatly restrict access to the recording and sensing heads of the apparatus, which need to be cleaned regularly.

These drawbacks are eliminated by the sliding part of the front wall of the tape recorder apparatus according to the invention, which ensures easy insertion of the cassette into the apparatus, its precise alignment with the supporting and functional elements of the apparatus, and prevents its spontaneous release. In this case, the pull-out part of the front wall can be removed completely to obtain good access to the recording heads of the tape recorder.

The sliding part 1 of the tape recorder front wall is provided with a pocket 2 for receiving a cassette. The bottom has one or two front recesses 3 and one or two rear recesses 4 into which one or two securing elements 5 anchored in the mass of the apparatus beneath the bottom of the withdrawable portion 11 in the position corresponding to the location of the recess 34 are inserted. The release of the locking elements 5 from the recesses 3, 4, which also allow the extension of the extension part 1 of the front wall of the magnetophane to be completely pulled out, is effected using peripheral devices not known in the art. After the securing elements 5 have been released from the front recesses 3 or the rear recesses 4, the pull-out part 1 of the tape deck front side is pulled out or pushed in manually by means of a bar 6 located at the lower edge of the pull-out part g.

The rear wall of the pocket 2 of the pull-out part 7 is provided with openings 13 corresponding to the position and dimensions of the openings in the cartridge body 7 intended to be mounted on the shafts displacing the tape in the cartridge 7.

Guide rails 9 may be disposed on the sides of the sliding portion 9, which move in recesses of a corresponding profile in adjacent walls of the tape deck (not shown) and detect its linear movement.

Ejecting the pocket-side portion of the tape deck ensures easy insertion and removal of the cassettes operating vertically, aligning them accurately with the device's functional elements, and, when pulled out completely, gives good access to the recording and reading heads of the unit for cleaning.

SUBJECT OF THE INVENTION Pull-out part of a tape recorder front wall adapted to insert cassettes operating in a light position, characterized in that it has a pocket (2) for inserting a cassette (7), the rear wall of the pocket (2) is provided with holes (8) a cassette (7), wherein the bottom of the withdrawable part (1) is provided with at least one front recess (3) and at least one rear recess (4) for receiving at least one securing element (5) anchored in the mass of the apparatus below the bottom of the withdrawable part (1); wherein the front wall of the sliding part (1) is provided with a strip (6) at the lower edge. Pull-out part of the tape recorder front wall adapted to insert cassettes operating in the vertical position according to claim 1, characterized in that the locking element (5) is spring-loaded and releasable by known magnetic or mechanical devices. Sliding part of the tape recorder front wall adapted to insert cassettes operating in the vertical position according to items 1 and 2, characterized in that it is provided with horizontal guides (9) on the sides.
