Vynález sa týká zariadenia na meranie rozmerov telies vyžarujúcich neutrónové a gama žiarenie.The present invention relates to a device for measuring the dimensions of bodies emitting neutron and gamma radiation.

Doteraz známy sposob zisťovania rozmerov telies, ktoré emitujú gama fotóny, využívá gama-scaning. Podstatou gama-scaningu je to, že cez úzký kolimátor sa privádza na detektor žiarenie/ ktoré sa registruje súčasne s registráciou súradníc meraného objektu. Z profilu zaregistrovaných gama fotónov a příslušných súradníc sa dá určit rozměr meraného objektu. Takýto spósob merania rozmerov, rádioaktívnych preparátov je bežne používaný vo svete. Nevýhodou tohoto spůsobu merania je to, že v případe, ak je třeba meranie uskutočniť v podmienkach, kde je silné pozadie zrovnatetné s meraným objektom, metoda stráca na přesnosti a operativnosti.
