Doteraz známe zariadenia pre změnu polohy palivovej kazety před kolimátoroih používané u nás i vo svete (NDR, USA] sú mechanicky zložité, změna polohy palivovej kazety je obtiažna. Zariadenie používané v našich podmienkach vyžaduje naviac stálu přítomnost žeriavu a' jeho obsluhy. Ďalšou výhodou je to, že ho je možné použiť v 1'ubovolnom bazéne so zabudovaným kolimátorom. Výhodou tohto zariadenia je i to, že počas všetkých manipulácii s vyhořenou kazetou je táto pod hladinou vody v bazéne, čím je zachovaná radiačná bezpečnost. Za výhodu je možné pokládat i to, že v případe zlyhania zariadenia pád meranej kazety je tímený hydraulikou a rýchlosť pádu sa rovná pracovnej rýchlosti posunu kazety. Piest 3 je hydraulicky ovládaný vháňaním vody čerpadlom, cez otvor-prívod vody od čerpadla 4, do priestoru pod piest 3, alebo jej vpúšťaním cez otvor- přívod Ik ventilu 5. Piest 3 vytláča aleho spúšťa kazetu 1 podlá potřeby.
