Uvedené obidva typy zariadení boli použité vždy v jednej matečnej ošípárni aúčasne, boli od seba vzdialené přibližné 10 m. Urobili sa časové snímky počas 24 hodin tak, že v hodinových intervaloch sa zisíovali počty múch nalepených na žiariče a zariadenia podlá vynálezu.
