Abstract

El método comprende las etapas de introducir un agro-residuo de palma seleccionado de un grupo que consiste de los lodos de separador y la torta del decantador como material de partida; someter el material de partida a una etapa de pre-tratamiento, seguido de extracción con un solvente para dar una harina extraída y un extracto de solvente; separar el extracto solvente de la harina extraída; y eliminar el solvente, seguido de precipitación para dar una fracción de residuo que comprende lecitina que tiene un contenido de fosfolípidos de no menos de 20%, más preferiblemente, no menos del 35%.The invention relates to a method of extracting lecithin from palm wastes produced in a palm oil factory. The method comprises the steps of introducing a palm agro-residue selected from a group consisting of separator sludge and decanter cake as a starting material; subjecting the starting material to a pre-treatment stage, followed by extraction with a solvent to give an extracted flour and a solvent extract; separate the solvent extract from the extracted flour; and removing the solvent, followed by precipitation to give a residue fraction comprising lecithin having a phospholipid content of not less than 20%, more preferably, not less than 35%.
