Abstract
En algunas realizaciones, un método para determinar la ubicación de fluido de fracturamiento en una formación subterránea incluye proporcionar aditivos de propósito diseñado (PDA por su sigla en inglés) en el fluido de fracturamiento. Cuando se mueve el fluido de fracturamiento a través de una fractura en la formación, el PDA se solidifica y forma una barrera en la ruta del fluido de fracturamiento. En respuesta a un aumento de presión en el pozo que contacta la barrera, por lo menos se genera y detecta una señal para proporcionar información acerca del fluido de fracturamiento y/o fractura.
