Abstract

La invención comprende un cuerpo, un actuador pivotalmente conectado con el cuerpo, y una aguja retráctil adaptada para proporcionar comunicación de fluidos entre un paciente y un tubo de extracción de fluidos, típicamente un tubo de extracción de sangre, acoplable al dispositivo. Una característica importante del dispositivo en cuestión es una cavidad de retracción dispuesta dentro del actuador que se puede posicionar manualmente para recibir una porción del ensamble de retracción de la aguja después de la extracción del tubo de extracción de sangre. La retracción se inicia deprimiendo el extremo que se extiende hacia adelante del actuador con relación al cuerpo, provocando así que el broche de sujeción libere el porta agujas, después de lo cual el porta agujas y una parte de la aguja son impulsados hacia la cavidad de retracción mediante la expansión de un resorte comprimido. La aguja se extrae así del paciente y hacia la carcasa, reduciendo la probabilidad de pinchazos accidentales y previniendo la reutilización del dispositivo.
