Abstract

1.- Un proceso para la recuperacion de niquel y/o cobalto a partir de un mineral lateritico por lixiviacion en pila, el proceso incluye las etapas de: a) Formar una o mas pilas a partir de un cuerpo de mineral lateritico en donde ese cuerpo de mineral lateritico incluye una mezcla de ambos tipos de mineral limonitico y saprolitico; b) Lixiviar una o mas pilas con una solucion de lixiviacion; yc) Recuperar el niquel y/o cobalto a partir del lixiviado resultante de la pila.2.- Un proceso de acuerdo con la reivindicacion 1, en donde la mezcla de los minerales tipo limonitico y saprolitico incluye por lo menos 15% a 85% en peso del mineral tipo limonitico y 15% a 85% en peso del mineral tipo saprolitico.3.- Un proceso de acuerdo con la reivindicacion 2, en donde la mezcla incluye por lo menos 40% a 60% en peso de los minerales tipo limonitico y de 40% a 60% en peso de los minerales tipo saprolitico. 4.- Un proceso de acuerdo con la reivindicacion 1, en donde la una o mas pilas incluyen una mezcla de minerales tipo limonitico y saprolitico en relaciones en peso en el rango de cerca de 5:1 a 1:5.1.- A process for the recovery of nickel and / or cobalt from a lateritic mineral by heap leaching, the process includes the steps of: a) Forming one or more piles from a lateritic ore body where that Lateritic ore body includes a mixture of both types of limonitic and saprolitic ore; b) Leach one or more batteries with a leaching solution; and c) Recover the nickel and / or cobalt from the leaching resulting from the battery. 2.
